Lunch break/Autograph session?
Usually they show a race from earlier during the lunch break and make it look as if its live.

Its because there are extra gaps in the coverage as the F Renault race was cancelled.

Re: BTCC 2010
Watched race 1 from the weekend finally, someone needs to teach James Nash some racecraft. If you turn in on someone on your inside, you are going to get turned, and it is not classed as being 'deliberately taken out.' Still think the Focus is a bit too strong despite what Alan Gow says, when we get to Snetterton that thing is going to kill on the straights.
Having said that, it may just be the case that Arena have found out how to make the Sportmaxx tyres work better than the rest already... but I doubt it.
Race 2 and 3 will get watched later.

Re: BTCC 2010
Hey guys,
Haven't been through the whole thread so sorry if this has been brought up...
How the hell can you give Colin Turkington's car to Rob Collard?
How can you not have the champion on the grid?
What the bleep?
And Giovanardi (and God knows I hate him) can't even get a race seat.
What is going on in BTCC?
Still my favourite racing series with the TC2000 from Argentina but damn...and where is James Thompson?!?
Back to the racing now, Paul O'neil is insane this year!
Needless to say, we need all tracks in FM.

Re: BTCC 2010
going through them one by one before Scot's head explodes....
1) WSR lost the RAC sponsorship and Colin or the team couldn't get a budget together for whatever reason.
2) It is unusual to not have the champion on the grid but not unusual, I think I'm right in saying Plato won in 2001 but didn't defend in '02. Same goes for Menu in 2000
3) Bleep indeed!
4) Had a seat at Thruxton but for whatever reason Uniq pulled the plug regardless of two wins out of the box and a strong showing from Phil Glew. That's the company's fault rather than anything 888 may have done.
5) You got me there!?!?!?!
6) JT was racing in the ETCC but some major disagreement between the engineers and management saw him walk out with them. He's hunting for a seat somewhere but I doubt it'll be BTCC.

Re: BTCC 2010
Wow sorry if I upset someone.
I knew about the "official causes", I just find abnormal it happens, I feel for Colin, I hope he finds a seat soon.
He hasn't even been invited to that insane Gold Coast 600 race.

Re: BTCC 2010
Thompson in the Hartmaan Honda would have been a strong contender in the DTC and STCC sad to see that go away.

Re: BTCC 2010
It is really weird and sad the big guys not finding sponsorship....
On the Uniq front, they pulled out because they realised they shouldnt have been there, (since you cannot buy any of whatever the hell they sell in the UK whats the point advertising here?)
I think its part of some expansion plans that they have gone back on.....

Re: BTCC 2010
Yeah, Uniq's plans for the UK as a company were pushed back until the summer at the earliest, so they pulled sponsorship.
Turkington is trying to get funding together, and it is likely we will see him back at some point, unless he plans putting his funds in 2011.

Because he couldn't get a seat in the BTCC due to the way he'd raced in 2001... apparently.
