Exactly, Great Race by Nick
Lewis deserved Penalty and Alonso did as well, Lewis has even admitted that he was wrong to weave more than 1, Lewis will be bounce bacl though.
And Adrian how you can say this was a dull race, 1st race i have enjoyed for a while and with Brundle and colthard commentary was all good
.........though looks like Vettle might wrap this championship up a bit quicker than last year
Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
I'm of the opinion that the race was dull.
You got what you wanted out of the race, you arent wrong.
I've been under a lot of stick for my opinion in another forum, they think I throw "this kind of tantrum" every time the guy on pole wins.
If the guy on pole had to fight for his lead most of the way then fair enough, but from what I saw that didn't really happen.
Everyone says "great strategic race", to me the word in the middle cancels out the other two words in that sentence.
Yes ok so every other place was being faught for, including 23rd, that was alright I guess, but for something that is trying to be a TV sport, I'd be better off wasting thousands of pounds actually going to F1 races. Or looking for something else to watch (i've got that covered).
You can dish out all the arguments against the way I think, I left the Autosport show in January with a sense that I knew absolutely nothing about the sport I watch on TV, and that has set the tone for this season.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
well that for me was a great race the DRS worked plus we had great battles into turn 3, drivers mixing the tyres unsure of the rain also. hamliton was ALWAYS going to get something this year after what he did last season, in my eyes alonso shouldnt have been given anything, hell hamliton didnt when he hit alonso in 08 at bahrian. best move of the race was quick nicks start, proberly drive of the race as well though Di Resta was close to taking that.
China's DRS should be put at the middle to end of the straight. i noticed that the mclarens running a very very long 7th gear i think used 6th without draft, DRS or KERS.
Garage i think your forgetting that red bull will get caught, hell mclaren are basically there, ferrari will get stronger and merc should get closer this season plus now renault are a threat.
i can see hamilton leaving mclaren it aint been the best relationship at times, and with webber saying he ll finish his career with redbull (unless ferrari want him!) the paths clear for hammy. think if Di Resta keeps his speed up he could well take the second macca seat along side button. Perez could end up in the 2nd ferrari alongside alonso if webber isnt offered the seat as i see massa going.
another thing we would really know how mucher the red bull is untill we get to hungry as thats where there car is quickest

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Hamilton won't leave McLaren if the seats that are open to him are beside either Vettel or Alonso. The team simply won't function, like 2006, if you have 2 guys who are extremely competitive with such huge egos.
Webber will probably be around for a little while longer and Massa will probably move to a lower team. Like was suggested all weekend, if Perez shows pace throughout this seasona nd next he will mroe than likely get a Ferrari drive.
Di Resta will move from Forza India, but I can't see him getting a jump straight into a McLaren like that. Maybe Mercedes if Shumacher leaves, but until they show where all that money is going I don't think anyoen will want to race for them.
I also think both penalties are a joke. Hamilton barely moved and Alonso made a simple mistake.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
In the early 2000's I stopped watching F1 for a while because there was this sodding German that got pole nearly every race, and then went on to win every race.
I think I might stop watching F1 again soon.

I imagine it was! haha
I just think its slightly dull when you can near enough expect Vettel to be pole in China and take the win. Doesn't add much excitement, I much prefer uncertainty. Thats why I'll focus more on BTCC and GT1 this year.

A great analogy of DRS while listening to Gareth Jones on Speed.

Hehe thats great. I love how he was instinctively still trying to turn the wheel like Alguersuari did after both his front wheels parted company with the rest of the car. Must be the strangest sensation.

Re: OFFICIAL F1 2011
Well everything happens so quickly, you probably wouldn't expect the wheels to fall off. It's like pressing the button at the lights after someone else has, or looking both ways crossing a one way street. Just a natural thing people do.

Liuzzi wasn't even in the car it was the marshals fault for standing behind the tyre whilst they were pushing it backwards...his fault haha

It cant be helped when Hispania are involved in something, the immediate assumption is its their fault.
