I don't subscribe to any TV channels. I watch more TV shows than anyone I know, but I get them all online. What's sad though is that if I could pay for iPlayer so I could get Top Gear and F1, I would. Its one of the few things I'd be willing to pay for on the internet.

SPEED Channel is included in the standard cable package from my cable company (and I think it's standard almost everywhere else in the states). I don't think you can get a package with JUST the basic channels (ABC, Fox, NBC, etc.)

ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS, and a few others are all network channels and are free over the air, you just need an antenna to get those. The last time I had cable (Comcast) I had about 80 channels and Speed wasn't one of them. It was the only normal, non premium channel I didn't get. Comcast sucks.

You just need a digital tuner to get them over the air. As far as I know its all broadcast in digital now, they just stopped sending out the analogue signal.

yeah, you can buy an OTA HD tuner.

To be honest, the BBC needed to cut money. None of us are involved with budgets at the BBC. The 7 or 8 races that are not live on the beeb will be as live, probably a couple hours after the actual race. It's actually not such a bad deal for the terrestrial viewer, the BBC had no choice but to trim down or drop F1.

I'm certainly not gonna swear or bitch about it, I'll still be Ble to watch the grand prix every Sunday afternoon. Some of our older members will probably remember when the F1 just had a highlights show every Sunday.

Yeah I read somewhere about that Nicky. BBC will show all races, half live, half not live. But I got confused from that, cos Whitmarsh said "Bernie told me the other ten races the BBC haven't got will not be highlights" Then someone else said (it might have been Bernie actually) "The BBC will have half live races while the rest will just he highlights" If it's the full race then I wouldn't mind.

Look all I have calmed down now and had time to think about it look I know of a lot of people upset about the deal however with our friends here and else where we will get streams and post them every grand prix race which the bbc wont show live so we all can watch the race live some how .

I would recomend how ever asking the bbc to re-run the race in full after sky has shown the race as this is a option to the bbc and all you would need to do is just dont look at any news or speak to any 1 for a few hours.

Was a great quali today! Hamilton on top form and Button close behind! I believe it will be a McLaren 1-2 tomorrow. Because Vettel was lucky to be on pole because Hamilton was flying but got quite a bit of oversteer. And as we all know, the Red Bull is not as good in race form. Gonna be a good race tomorrow!

I still have my doubts Mr. Murphy, it is after all the hungaroring, last year was not really eventful, aside from what happened in qualy and to renaults pitstop policy of "no tyre left behind" in 09, 08 was the same too.

But history cannot determine the future.

Hamilton has a fresh set of Super Softs in hand, that is a major advantage. He also has reliable KERS, fantastic speed and really likes this track!

yes he has a fresh sets but hes used more primes and what if the softs run out alot quicker than the primes? But yes the Mclarens look quicker, but Alonsos very quick too and hes on the clean side unlike Massa and hamilton plus hes a great starter in that ferrari. The grid would of been hamilton, Alonso, Vettel.

Nooo the grid would have been Hamilton, Vettel and Button. Alonso was just off the leading pace today but i'm sure he'll be up there on race pace tomorrow!

very glad Di Resta held on to 7th but hamiltion stupidly almost cost them both good results! He should have spun it the other way and would of been fine clearly was'nt thinking.

Shouldnt be long till Di Resta's in a higher placed car at this rate!

I think the reason Hamilton spun it that was cos he wanted to quickly get back into the lead cos the other were close behind him. I know thats not an excuse but you know what he's like! And I agree Di Resta will be great in a McLaren lol!

6 Million viewers tuned in to watch the race yesterday. I don't think Sky have that many people paying for Sky Sports alone!

I wonder how strict they will be with online streams.

I tired to watch the Brickyard 400 last night, and every stream I watched was taken down one after the other for copyright claims..
