Further more, we understand the Nissan engine will a rebadged version of the Chevrolet Cruze World Touring Car Championship engine. This is a 4-cylinder, turbo motor, with a capacity between 1.6 and 2.0 liters, and is described as "very clever." The engine's designer, Arnaud Martin, won Race Tech's Engine Designer of the Year award based on the success of the Chevy Cruze WTCC engine. We're told that Chevy's naming rights only extended to the WTCC application. The engines will be built by RML and there are suggestions that RML will also provide crew for Le Mans but this has not been verified.

So Highcroft is racing an Indycar at Le Mans, using a Nissan engine out of a Chevy, and this is all going to be run by RML? How could this possibly fail lol?

to be fair is a R&D, no way I would want LMP to look like that but tech wise, weight, power aero flow = very very exciting

Why is it any more unsafe than the other open top prototypes? Its built on the AMR-One tub which passed all the ACO crash tests presumably before it took the the track last year.

Because on any other prototype there is something to crush and soften the blow to the tu with this car its straight to the tub. Also its done a couple laps here at sebring yesterday looks better on track than it does in photo
