I wouldn't worry too much - I've been playing the weekly builds for 3 months now and can assure you that the handling physics are way above those you'll find on GT5 and Forza. This is, at the present time, definitely being developed as a sim rather than a pick-up and play racer

Obviously it's still WAY off being a finished product and no-one has seen the Xbox or PS3 versions yet but if they are anyway near the PC version console racers will have one hell of a game on their hands

Although you can't tell how the car 'feels' and from experience I know how good iRacing is, this comparison video really shines a new light on CARS, especially as the car is placed and drives through the corners in a very realistic way, much like iRacing.

I'm getting this game just for Bathurst! Last time I saw it look that realistic was when I actually drove round it

does look good though you will need a beast of a pc to get that frame rate hence why I need a new dual sli

That does look good! One thing I noticed with the alpha builds is that cars that have been in the game a while now like the DTM handle a lot better, each build refines the handling a bit more, whereas some of the newer cars added need more work yet. But overall, looks like it's coming along well

Wow, i love how you can tell through the cockpit view that you've got a helmet on as well, just amazing.

Shift 2's helmet cam was the same - it has a 'look-to-apex' feature, so as you approach the corner your view turns slightly towards the apex. Freakily realistic, but I couldn't get on with it, kept missing the corner lol

The helmet cam, if it's anything like Shift, will be a pain in the butt. I don't like the game telling me where to look.
