Re: 2012 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
SPOILERS AHEAD, DO NOT READ BELOW IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY SEEN THE RACE.
Well that was an interesting start to the race, Grosjean just doesn't seem able to be aware of what's around him.
Shame Alonso and Webber had the contact and it resulted as it did. Hamilton just didn't seem to have the pace, Perez cocked up his move big time, and Vettel just ran away with it like he normally does when he starts on pole.
Overall a decent race though, should be interesting for the last five races now though!

Re: 2012 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
Great race today - particularly enjoyed Hamilton's involvement, whether it was overtaking or being overtaken himself! Great to see Perez leaving a marker on him! And that move with Kimi was just too close to call, though you think Kimi would take himself off the track to benefit Lewis? Pfffft. Close as it got though, did anyone see the analysis after the race (on $ky) with Kimi's reaction speeds?
Great result for Kobayashi, thrilled for him as he's a nice chap and got raw talent, even for him to show emotion was good to see.
But wow, Vettel winning again. Well we definitely know we will see a triple world champ at the end of the year (unless something really messes up). Shame Alonso didn't score some points - if he managed a 5th or 6th while Vettel won then at least it will draw the WDC out a bit more.
Just need that 'first lap nutcase' Grosjean to get in the mix!

Yeah that move took some HUUUGE balls, i don't know how they both manage to fit them into their cars!Bli33ard wrote:that move with Kimi was just too close to call... did anyone see the analysis after the race (on $ky) with Kimi's reaction speeds?
As for his reaction speeds though, flippin' heck, some super slick moves there from the Finn, he's definitely not lost it, would be good to see him in a great car come 2014, i reckon he could do the business.

Wait a minute Tom! I know he's the Iceman but he's not undergoing cryogenics for 2013 is he?

Nah what i mean is, he's stopping at Lotus for 2013, but i doubt they'll be any further forward than they are now. Lotus are close, but no cigar i'm afraid, Kimi needs better in my opinion!

Another Suzuka race missed thanks to Bathurst.
Why can't a sh*te track like Adu Bhabib Marina Circuit World Ring be on this weekend?

Chuffed for Massa! 10th to 2nd is not a bad drive. Now to continue my F1 2012 career with Sauber!

Re: 2012 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
I highly doubt it. Kamui was driving very well today and deserved to finally give the crowd a local hero to stand on the podium. The chanting and excitement from their local driver coming third was one of the best things I have seen, and there is no where else where the locals chant like that for their drivers. I would have loved to have seen Button and Kobayashi in the McLarens next season as I think they would have complimented each other very well. Perez driving off the track at the weekend he had to deliver on was pretty comical.
Great to see Massa back up there and he was putting in fastest laps throughout the race, although I am disappointed Alonso had the crash at the start.
Grosjean needs to really think about what he is doing, but Webber's interview was bang on about him.

Kobyashi's been around for a while now too. Remember his mental/brilliant driving at Toyota?

Re: 2012 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
Kobayashi deserves a chance in a better car, he is the best Japanese driver in recent times and can reliably bring the car home if he isn't taken out or suffers a mechanical failure. He isn't afraid to push the car to is limits, or to preserve the car and tyres to make it count towards the end of a race.

Re: 2012 FIA Formula 1 World Championship
The two Renaults hit everything but the Lottery in the opening laps of Suzuka, but I take exception to the officials' stance on the Grosjean/Webber incident. Looked like Mark was exceptionally slow, and drifted down to the bottom lane at exactly the wrong moment... how is that Romain's fault?
Congrats to Kobi for his stellar run, and passing The Great Schumi on the final lap has got to be a career moment for Daniel Riccardo.

Yes he held him off , his overall finishing time was 5 tenths quicker , 1 more lap he would of been passed.
