If you look carefully, there was fluid beginning to come out the back of the HRT so he was in the midst of an engine failure or similar. You could argue that Nico should have been more cautious when coming up behind a slower car anyway.
Not the best place to meet a slow moving car in anycase.

More concerned with the Di Resta/Grosjean/Perez/Webber incident. Finally a crash that WASN'T Romain's fault. Though yet again he was involved. Not a great advert for him once again. Perez was stupid to squeeze Paul as much as he did. It was always going to end with someone coming a cropper

Perez caused the incident & put his hands up blaming Grosjean. Despite Sergio's promising results this year, I believe Di Resta or Hulkenberg would've been a better fit for McLaren.

FP!!!!! grandstands have been empty the past few races FOR THE ACTUAL RACE.

What? Knowing F1, they'll produce another Tilke-drome that just so happens to be in California.

The only thing that reminds me that COTA is in the USA is the occasional shots of downtown Austin, and RV owners covered in NASCAR/Indycar merchandise.

Long Beach doesn't even register on the radar as far as F1 is concerned.
