Re: TORA - Be a part of it.
I'll attest to the shirt's quality - wore mine to Brit GT at Silverstone on Sunday (as did Matt) and it was fun watching people read the logos on our chests as we walked by because we looked like we were from one of the race teams. (There's also a large logo across the back that can be seen from miles away - great for spotting fellow TORA members in a crowd!).

Re: TORA - Be a part of it.
Slick shirts dudes... are they embroidered or screened? If they are embroidered, you should have them make patches (I know it may seem weird suggestion, but, it generally takes the same sort of equipment to produce and could offer folks in far off lands a cheaper option to support and sport their tora pride). You can slap a patch on just about anything (including flame retardant coveralls), and they only cost pennies (or pence as the case may be). In terms of volume, when I managed some local bands, and worked for a small diy record (music label for any of you who think that vinyl only refers to artwork in forza) company, we were surprised to find that patches kept pace with t-shirt sales especially via mail order.
As for me, I think I sense a size L polo shirt with my name on it. (also, I still have a silk screen lying dormant in storage if yall ever need it time permitting)

Re: TORA - Be a part of it.
We have been looking at ways to make either patches, stickers or other things.
Re: TORA - Be a part of it.
I figured as much, I know how expensive this stuff can be so I thought I would just throw that info out there in case yall hadn't thought about it. I know some folks that do good work in the states (California), however they don't do distribution to end-users in a very cost effective way (as in they can ship to somewhere or someone that can take that part on). If you need any info, let me know. That said, the shirts look great. nice work!Richy59 wrote:We have been looking at ways to make either patches, stickers or other things.
Re: TORA - Be a part of it.
Yeah we could easily create a bunch of other merch items such as stickers, mugs, mouse pads etc etc but we would have to buy all of them (which would cost a bomb) and then try sell them on our own and risk not selling the stock, which would mean we would be 'wasting' money. With Dread they have created it and will sell/distribute it, whilst we get a small percentage back on the sales. It's not a money spinner, but at least they are made to order and there isn't a bulk stock that we have sitting in someone house. Plus we finally have some awesome looking merch
Re: TORA - Be a part of it.
Is the price known for after brit car? As I was planning to buy on pay day that being Monday 1st October

Mind you, I live in Oregon (second down, top left) and Dewey lives in Florida (bottom right). It's a different story here than just to bulk-order and pass them out around town.

Re: TORA - Be a part of it.
That's a really great deal for you guys. Like you said, the risk/reward equation tends to end on the side of not having anything made for fear of being stuck holding a bunch of inventory (with no one that wants it). Reading back my post, I realize it may have sounded like I was suggesting a way for yall to profit, this was not my intention. The fact of the matter is, the risk is all on a couple people that put up the money to have stuff made when the intention is likely to break even and have happier users and a little free advertizing.Richy59 wrote:Yeah we could easily create a bunch of other merch items such as stickers, mugs, mouse pads etc etc but we would have to buy all of them (which would cost a bomb) and then try sell them on our own and risk not selling the stock, which would mean we would be 'wasting' money. My intention was to just let yall know that I have recently delt with a few vendors that do good and quick work for fair prices. The reason I say this is because a google search for "screen printing" or "sticker production" will bring countless hits of companies that will "make you a great deal". The problem is not all of them are reputable and honest.
Many folks don't realize that breaking even while running a website that is secure, well organize, and complex, like this one, is more difficult than it may seem. Furthermore, the logistic problems that inevitably arise with any site tend to grow exponentially as the number of users grow. I enjoy what TORA does, and have much respect for yall because I have been involved in similar projects. It is for this reason that I have posted suggestions and offers to help. I fear that it may sound like I am second guessing decisions, so I thought I would explain my intentions further here for all to see.
OK ok... enough about me... Just wanted to say again thanks and yall are doing better than many of the groups I have been involved with (and a lot of those had dozens of paid positions). Great job, Keep it up
