Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
That's what I interpreted from the Sebring rules & regulations thread. It states that "Drivers are not forced to stay in the same team for the entire year, they may change out when required." This suggests a team can have different drivers for each race. This would also make sense because people aren't always available for different race weekends so having the same drivers throughout the season could prove very difficult indeed.
However a team must use the same car for Le Mans as used at Sebring to continue their points tally. If they change car I think they are classed as a different team and have to start thier points tally again.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
I remember talk about not allowing people to double stint anymore due to delays. So was wondering if that is going into effect this time around.
If double stinting is allowed, would there be any objections to someone running all 6 stints?

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
I hope double stinting is allowed. It should be doable if done right.
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
it's good for mainly the 24 hour races for like me, being on a european team, so i double stint at uk night makes it easier on the team, well easier being difficult racing 24 hoursMGR Lightning wrote:I hope double stinting is allowed. It should be doable if done right.
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
I believe you can run as many stints as you like , I will raise the question with staff tho.
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
In the past double stinting has caused a few headaches in terms of getting the lobbies going, I would like to see it stay, but the staff were talking about maybe ruling out double stinting for this season to see if it makes it smoother.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Hey guys, new to this series and got to reading this thread. What does everyone mean by double stinting? Is that running back to back stints? My team is planning on running with 3 drivers and for us it might be easier for each guy to hammer out their 2 stints and then be done with it. Just looking for clarification.
Looking forward to running with all of you!

I amdit that double stinting or in some extreme cases 5x stinting is a headache, but I would like to say. ( I like 5x stinting)

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
although if you cant connect after lobby start time we are going we wasted 1 hour last year doing this
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
The only problem I saw with back-to-back stinting was when pre-lobby issues occurred, delaying start time and would compound throught until fresh new drivers started the next stint.
Hopefully this year the layoff time btw stints flow much better and no issues arise from back-to-back stints

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
There could be a statement in the rules for maybe max. 10 minutes waiting after start time and than go ( no matter what)

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
yeah it will be a no messing procedure , so anyone double stinting you will not stay in a lobby to get your race credits instead give the lobby host your details and leave to the next room to keep things running smoothly.

Immmmmmm BACK
Hope to improve on my 6th in last years championship which shouldn’t be to hard as i didn’t even race Nurb and had a shocking race at Lemans but did finish 3rd at Sebring in class and 1st at Britcar in class so hopefully should be much improved this year Love these events and hope to see you all out on the track soon

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
For a 24hour race would it be better to reduce the delays if the 12-2am stint,
isnt allowed any drivers who doubled from the previous stint? This means (as soundwave said) whole lobby is 'getting fresh drivers in'
Across all the lobbies this could bring all of them back in line for the second half of the race?

I believe they're pretty much ready. I'm sure they'll be sent out near to/after registration time.
