Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
I just realized, I have not seen or heard or been requested anything regarding a Spotters' Guide?
Related, though, do you still want us to send things off to Aero?

No spotters guide, sorry not enough time to do
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
The TCC one coulda waited a couple weeks, TEC is what TORA's famous for.
Do we still need Aero to approve liveries, or is this an "honor system" kind of thing?

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Will race distance be taken in miles or kilometers? KM is more accurate.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
I have to switch over if it's miles.

Just wondering if the lobby host had it in Km would all the distances appear in Km when they go to take down the distances at the end of each stint?

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
The race will be scored in Feet AND Miles.
i.e.: the driver in first in each lobby will read off his mile distance reading once the time limit has reached, and everyone has stopped on track. each driver down the order will then give the lobby host the gap to the driver in 1st. the Google Doc has been setup to calculate mileage and laps accordingly with that information. giving the best accurate reading we can get, if all works right.
added note. for those who lagout, we [those in the lobby] will have to remember how far ahead/behind someone was to the person who lagged to figure out how many miles they've done.

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
So should I change to miles for the race? Or can I just say my KM and distance to the 1st guy?

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
it could probably be easier to be in ft/miles, as otherwise we'd have to convert your gap (in km) into ft

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
If people race in Km then they can race in Km, we'll just convert to miles and then to feet for the distances.
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
forgot i had a phone with a conversion chart app on it

What's everyone's mood with one qualifying session left? I'm part elated and part shocked! I knew I had a low 44 but not a 43.7 :O

Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
That was really good fun. It's obviously difficult to jump back in and be quick straight away because I've been out of action for nearly four months.
I didn't quite get the time I was hoping for. I had about another 2 or 3 tenths in me. But if we get to start in the top 10, then I'll be a happy man. So far, I think Virtual AMR LMP1 are sitting 8th with one session to go.
Fingers crossed that our GTE counterparts stay on pole position but I've just noticed the times and F4H Carrera was very close to beating us....... just six hundredths of a second in it.
I would personally like to wish everyone the best of luck for tomorrows race and hope we have a blast all the way to the very end.

No approval, just same rules as usual. No need to send anyone anything.
Re: TORA 12 Hours of Sebring - General Discussion
Not a great qualifying session by myself. Before qualify in practice I couldn't get into the groove. After 15 minutes in qualify I hit the inside wall at Turn 1, 11% front damage and 5% sides damage. Not much, but it's still damage and lost 1 or 2 kph down the straight. Only managed a 2:03.3xx at that time. Luckily my lovely Abruzzi didn't feel that much different. Eventually I could still manage a 2.9. Was up for a 2.6 though.
Race should be great and hopefully I can have a great first stint again. Good luck everyone! Fingers crossed!
