jgroves1996 returned from a 1 race sabbatical as the German Touring Cars headed to Silverstone for what could be the penultimate round of the champinship (If Infineon is not re-run). He would be the sole BMN Racing driver in the race as mjg36 couldn't make it.

The day of the meeting saw JGroves take part in some practice laps beforehand. This paid off as he qualified 2nd behind MXR SCH1WO.

Race:
The start was slightly different then expected, as the race had to be restarted after contact at the end of the formation lap. This meant that the race wouldn't be started via rolling start. It would be a standing start.

SCH1WO and Groves got even starts out of their grid spots, but Groves managed to draw alongside SCH1WO as they went into turn 1. He knew that he would have to pass him quickly to have any chance of keeping the race win alive. He managed to get past without contact.

1 Lap later, a Lag spike saw BloodYCaiN and ProfMadFatStaxx come together through the Maggots Becketts complex. This brought out the Caution for a few laps whilst some headed to pit road to take repairs.

When the race got underway again, Groves made a good restart, but couldn't pull away from SCH1WO, who never failed to fall more than 200ft behind as he battled with Mourne Identity for 2nd at times.

SCH1WO got close several times when Groves had some off track excursions, notably at Vale corner on lap 13. (Whoopsies).

In the final two laps, SCH1WO really started to make gains on Groves, and by the final 2 corners, he was right on the BMN Racing Audi's Bumper. He even tapped the back into the final hairpin. As they powered down the start/finish straight for the final time, SCH1WO slipstreamed all he could, but it wasn't enough to deny Groves a second TORA win, his first on a Road Course after his win at the Twin Ring Motegi Oval in DTM season 1.

After his win, Groves now lies 11 points behind championship leader Bandit1097 in 4th place in the drivers standings. With Infineon (The race Groves missed), possibly being re-run if Bandit is in the top 3 in the title after next weekends Race, Groves will be going all out to try and secure his first TORA Title.
