All-Star Race

Anyone up for having an All-Star Race with the stock cars? I was thinking three heats: First two are forty laps and the final heat is twenty laps. This might be at Twin Ring Motegi. Not really planned yet, but looking for interest.

Sounds fun. Add drag tires, which last close to 20 laps, resulting in pit strategy in the 40.

I'm probably making this forced default tuning, so the drag tires may not be added. But, I could force a pit stop for the forty lap races.

100% in on this providing its at a good European time and at a weekend

I may try to get the 14 most recent TASCAR winners into the main event and have a 30 lap Showdown to fill in the remaining spots.

As long as this isn't in June. I'm so in. Would the rules and regs be basically as if it were TASCAR?

I was planning on using forced default tuning and upgrades to even the competition.

That'd be awesome. Be nice to test myself against some of the very best (for two corners then wave bye bye )

I've been thinking for TASCAR you could now run a full package of Craftsman Trucks (GMC Syclone), Nationwide (Stock NASCAR) and Sprint (Open mods) get a bigger spread of drivers.

Hoping the Showdown will be the 25th and the All-Star Race on the 26th. Both at 2:00 PM EST.

Whats the difference between the Showdown and the Race?

We tried them in a group of 6 last night and it was some of the closest racing I've ever been in

They are a load of arse but its absolutely hilarious.

In the actual NASCAR race:

The Showdown is for any car that is in the Top 35 in points.

The All-Star Race is for a race winner within the last season, any previous All-Star Race winner in the past ten years, and any previous champion (which I believe is also the past 10 years, but I'm not to sure). The top two finishers from the Showdown along with the fan vote winner transfer into the All-Star Race from the Showdown.


For this:

The Showdown is for anyone with a registered TORA number.

The All-Star Race is for the previous TASCAR winners and champions along with the top two finishers from the Showdown.

ELIGIBLE FOR ALL-STAR RACE
1. ATR DAN (2011 Champion and Recent Winner #7)
2. BloodYCaiN (Recent Winner #3)
3. CQR Franchitti (Recent Winner #1)
4. F4H Insanity (Recent Winner #6)
5. LMR DarthMario (2012 Champion and Recent Winner #8 )
6. ONR Python (Recent Winner #4)
7. PLOW tubbi (Recent Winner #2)
8. wins642003 (Recent Winner #5)
9. Showdown 1st Place
10. Showdown 2nd Place
11. Showdown 3rd Place
12. Showdown 4th Place
13. Showdown 5th Place
14. Showdown 6th Place
15. Showdown 7th Place
16. Showdown 8th Place

If a driver that is locked in to the All-Star Race can not make it, then that driver will be replaced by the next finishing driver from the Showdown Race that can.
