Hey guys

So the big race is in 10 days time - any provisions for lobby settings/hosting been arranged yet?

Hosting usally sorted after Q.........

Race Settings erm may have Sebring settings some where

You know me by now Duncan, asking the silly questions before other people do

i think the difference from Sebring will be the Car groups. not sure of them exactly myself, though

I can host a couple stints.

i might be only able to just race in the stints i'm slated for. I'd like to help, but after 3 5-lap practice runs with a few other LMR guys, my carpal tunnel is starting to rear its ugly head, and Do not wish to do more than just race (and i've slated myself to double stint so my other teammates can get some sleep during some of the overnight hours)

well i know now i have a decent connection that i will be able to host a massive chunk whether racing or not

with my connection being as bad as it is right now, I cant see myself hosting

As I'm on the "stupid-o-clock" stints, I'm hoping to catch some sleep during the day but will no doubt be dipping online from time to time!

I said I may have a kip but more than likely will be awake through the whole lot

I'm the same at the moment, most nights around 8-10, my Internet just refuses to connect. But Sky have said it'll be back to normal before TASCAR starts

I'll be streaming as much of A lobby as possible during the first day and starting again around 8am on the second. Not sure on my stint schedule yet. Hoping some of the American guys can stream and run the event during the late stints. If I'm streaming A I can host A or at least set it all up.

yes streaming is great but it must be made clear to those who do actual streaming have a solid connection cause this was tried by a member in the TCC last round bottom lobby and was proven his connection was not suitable for race hosting  and streaming so this will have to be addressed that anyone who wants to stream needs to post a good connection

I would host, but I may need some help on how to host.

I thought about this today, and I wonder if we can get a streamer (aka Richy) and an info guy who also sits in A lobby. Their job is to pass useful information on to comms by looking at each car's last lap, current positions etc, gaps between cars, pitstops. It's hard work but at least we can get some good insight

also we need lower lobbies to be managed last event I heard stories c lobbie drivers driving backwards etc if that happens we will just stop the race for the non staffed lobbies

I think we should work out a hosting plan of staff, community team and marshals before the event based nowhere we think weight qualify. Then we at least have a plan, and we can adjust after qualify to see how it works out.

well when im not driving i can still host the lower lobbies if need be

I'm committed to taking part and helping out to host over the weekend after 6pm, so I'll be more than happy to help!

How are you splitting this up? As things stand now it looks like 3 lobbys of 13 and 1 of 12 or are you planning on less driving in each with 4 lobbys of 10 and 1 of 11? It's showing 21 LMP's and 30 GT's at the moment. I'm just trying to get a feel for how many hosts you'll need. I would like to offer up to help hosting however it will be impossible for me to host any stints other than the first stint and then any that I'm running in (3, 5 & 11). I couldn't do 2, 4 or 10 as if they run late I'll miss the start of my race stint, 6 & 12 I could be late finishing my own race stints so couldn't commit to being on time, and 7, 8 & 9 I will be fast asleep . This site needs to start getting administrators interested in just helping out and not racing. I think this will be my last 24 hour race so I'll be happy to help out for future events with just hosting. All of you please remember my points above before agreeing to host lobbys between you own stints, the last thing you need is the host to be the one holding up the race.

I was just in the stint thread reading through Tango Whisky's comments about how strict we somtimes are, how are you feeling about that? If we keep to the lobby will go on time with or without all racers my points above all go away as we will have 15 mins after each stint to record the times and get ready for the next stint... how strict should we be?

Oh yea I forgot to say, yep I'm happy to host my race stints, could someone please post up the lobby rules for qually and race so I can get the settings built ready, I'd also be happy to host a qually lobby to help if needed then.
