TORA Le Mans Streaming Help

Streamers, I need you!

I'm looking for people who are willing to Stream TORA Le Mans at any stage of the race. I will be streaming A lobby from the race start at 2pm until around about 10pm at night. I will then be picking the stream up once again at 10am on the Sunday and go until the end of the race.

What I would like to do ideally is cover all of the race from at least A lobby. I need someone - preferably an American timezone friendly team - to take over streaming duties from me at 10pm and run the stream until 10am the next day. Streaming duties will also require commentary, so Skype is a must or an equivalent service.

For early Sunday morning any European timezone coverage would be welcome from 6am until 10am.

Stream Channel 1 will be using the new Twitch channel. If you want to stream on Channel 1 you must have experience at streaming on Twitch and have good experience of Streaming in general. Main TORA Commentary will only be available on Channel 1. We may talk about other Channels throughout the race but will be unable to show other lobbies.

Stream Channel 2 will be on the old TORALive Livestream channel we have used for the last year. I you have good experience of using Livestream and good experience of streaming in general then please let me know if you are interested. Livestream Channel 2 can run at any time throughout the day and from any lobby, so if you are available at any stage of the 24 Hour race then please let me know if you are willing to help. Commentary may be provided from the streamer, but will not be the same as Channel 1 and the main TORA feed.If you are experienced in Livestream and not Twitch.tv then the 10pm-10am Duties may be able to be transferred over to Livestream so there is coverage, It will remain Channel 2 however.

Channel 3 is available for any other lobbies and uses the Livestream channel system. If you are just starting to stream and would like to still help out the Channel 3 may be available at anytime in any other non-covered lobby for you to help out with. Again, commentary is down to the streamer and the main TORA feed will be unavailable.

We can increase the channels depending on who is available and who is willing to help. We need people with a decent understanding of Streaming and some experience. TORA Le Mans last year was the first time I had ever streamed and it wasn't something we expected to see become so popular. With so many people with streaming abilities now if you are willing to help then it will be welcome. I will not be able to help people who have never streamed before and tutor them on how to do it, I don't have the time to go through it this week.

1080p direct stream to Twitch, 720p to Livestream.

I can't stream and drive as it eats too much bandwidth, but can essentially stream any other stint.

I will be trying to get some sleep before doing the night shift, so if you want "directed" streaming, best find someone else for those stints where I'll be asleep (probably around 9/10pm BST).

I can help out some. I've got quite a bit of bandwidth although I've not really used XSplit, Twitch or Livestream before. >Here< is my qualifying run which I used as a test session for streaming (racing starts about 13 minutes in) and I had the bandwidth turned down to be on the safe side.



I used the software that came with my device which I remember reading had the option to stream another audio input with the game audio. I'll need to check but it means I might be able to take the Skype call's audio and put it over the top so the streaming could be directed and allow people to watch either stream without missing any of the commentary.

I am racing Stint #6 (12am - 2am)and #8 (4am - 6am) so will stick to following me for those two as an alternative stream but I should be able to provide some coverage up until then before getting some ZZZZs so I'm in good shape to bring the car home.

Well, I'm not sure on Twitch myself but last night seemed to work ok as all I did was put the Skype call through my speakers and made sure my mic was turned on in the settings. Do you stream via your PC, or does it go straight from your Xbox and into the card and out to Justin.tv? I think Justin.tv is the parent company of Twitch, so maybe its easier to get the video onto there? There will no doubt be numerous tutorials on YouTube so I'll have a look. I just stumbled around Xsplit and its actually pretty easy.

I'll probably be about all night so if I can get some help getting my poor little SD capture card capable of streaming I'm happy to lend a hand in some late night stints or the number 3 stream for the lower lobbies

For Twitch I didn't follow anything, but found these.

Would it also be possible to stream other lobbies as well? Just a thought though 

I may be able to do some commentary. I have some experience from my home racing league, the IFCA.

What I did was I sat in from of my tv during the Q and the Race and did audio commentary using Quicktime, and then put it into an iMovie. I do not have a capture card, but I do have a pretty good connection on Skype with my computer. I may be available at various times during the first 12 hours. I'd love to cover the stint the AAR car is in, but I'll try to do a stint when I am not driving. Someone would have to teach me how to do the Skype commentary the way you guys do it.

Kudos for asking others to help you guys, this will definitely improve the experience for anyone who is following as a fan.

I could stream from 9pm EST till 1am EST, but I'm driving then.

Depending on how much of a delay there is, I could stream from 1a EST to 3a EST.

Can you please put fill in the Schedule where you think you may be able to cover, and if you can do comms as well or not.

I might be able to be the commentator on stints 5 and 6. Like I said before, I would need someone to stream video to me to commentate on through Skype.

I've enever streamed before but I do have all of the necessary materials. More likely, though, is that I can do commentary for stints 2 through about 5, if you're interested.
