As long as we're talking about "the beautiful game," you'll tend to see a bit of a mix. You'll have supporters talk about "that was beautiful football," or "he's a quality footballer," etc, just as much as you hear about "soccer," even if the league is Major League Soccer. If you're talking to some random basketball or NFL fan, you still have to call it "soccer" or else the other guy will think you're just an elitist asshole.

The cheap Mexican League team is incredible. Best yet and I don't know if it's close. I've had everyone and it's so much fun to play with. The other guy had to be mad.
