Leaving
I've come to the decision that with immediate effect I will be leaving TORA.
There are many reasons for this decision. The first is that I simply don't have the time to race. Having to pull out of the TEC 12h was the clincher, shafted by work again. I work 60+ hours a week get one day and two evenings a week to myself and i barely see my fiancée at the moment.
I can't ignore the incident last night and the Fun Cup event preceding it. I'm still angry about the way my brother was treated in the aftermath of the Indianapolis race, and then with last nights incident on here that pushed me over the edge. With the limited time I do get to spend on here I shouldn't have to put up with morons spouting off like a certain individual was, and while its going back to feb / march it's not the first time I've been witness to or on the receiving end of childish behaviour.
Finally, I do find the level of general bitching on here hard to stand. I find it difficult to take this as seriously as some clearly do, which is probably down to twelve years of racing and having had real success, and reading / hearing about the sometimes horrendous way people treat others, act in general and post on here just makes me wonder.
To the guys running TORA, I salute every single one of you. You do a magnificent job balancing a life outside with putting on some epic series, and largely you don't get the recognition you deserve. There are many series out there that aren't a patch on TORA that cost real monies to do, so keep up the good work. You guys have got a great balance of competitive but enjoyable and fun racing, shame that the same cant be said of some of the members.
I wish you all happy racing, and remember, at the end of the day its only a game!!
Michael
PS. BG Twitchy can have my number, have messages Chucky regarding the swap

Re: Leaving
Also mentioning here that Uniform92 will also be leaving TORA with immediate affect. His number will be put back up for availability.
I won't be leaving! So they'll at least be one third of the Groves brothers remaining!

Re: Leaving
Please don't leave Micheal, each of us love having you here, I understand pressure from real life can be tough, heck I went damn near inactive because of similar reasons, but don't just give up bud.
By all means take some time away, work and relationships are priority, but just take some time away, and pop back when you can, you never know, you may have a day or even a weekend off where you feel like doing some racing again.
I wish you all the best, but hope you stick around.
Take Care,
Chris.

I wish you all the best, Michael! Hope to see you around outside of TORA. And if you need me to attempt to call out someone in private, I got your back.

If you dont have time to compete in TORA that's fair enough, but you probably still have time to be part of the forum .MichaelJGroves wrote:I work 60+ hours a week get one day and two evenings a week to myself.

Re: Leaving
Why don't you take a step back from Hosting lobbies, Just enter the TEC events and see how it goes. Plenty of time off in between and then you're not walking away from a large slice of your life
Re: Leaving
Well gotta say seeing what I've seen today has reinforced my decision to quit. I'm absolutely astounded

Re: Leaving
I'm going to put my balls on the table here and guess that this is the decision to promote CarbonViper93 to a community steward.
