After watching the videos....

..........Is it me or does race pro look like it was made 10 years ago? Shockingly boaring scenery and colours. Also doest appear to be particularly good recreation of physics - though thats impossible to know just from videos....

Up until now wace pro was a dead cert for me - but now it looks like an older version of Forza with less cars, less tracks.

Looks like its Halo Wars for me!!

Bad Physics? are you seriously joking! this is the only hardcore simulation on the Xbox 360... forza is an arcade compared to this game...
Less tracks? are you sure? this has 13 tracks and they are all real, there is only 8 real tracks in forza and 12 including made up ones... (including DLC)
Less cars? who cares if Forza has a Buick Regal... who cares if forza has a peugeot 307... forza pretty much has 10 cars... the Corvette Stingray and the Renault 5... the Audi RS6 in R4 the Toyotas in R3, the Corvette C6 in R2 and the Ferrari/Audi in R1... all of the other cars are useless... so it doesn't matter how many cars there are because only 10 of them are any good...

Seriously though, this game will blow forza out of the water...

Well I think one thing people need to remember is that race tracks aren't really all that exciting AND Forza is somewhat.... cartoony with its colours. All too vibrant.
IMO, while SOME aspects of Race Pro's graphical display do worry me, the replication of the tracks is fine. If you've actually been to any of the tracks in the game then you'd know that its probaby one of the more accurate.
Forza's Silvestone is also more or less spot on BUT the vibrancy of the colour palet DOES let it down abit.
Fact is race tracks, particularly those in the UK simply aren't very exciting places to look at.

Brands looks great on race PRO though! i don't know how you can say a track like Maple Valley or Silverstone on forza looks better

From a DETAIL POV Silverstone IS very good but the colour palet is waaaayyyy to vibrant on Forza. Its just Ive gotten used to it now.
Beieve me I KNOW RP has the better circuits.

Silverstone's colour pallet isn't 'Vibrant' it's dull, infact it's so dull it could even be a map on Gears of War...

Simbin may use outdated graphics etc, BUT.. they put alot of detail into cars and tracks, the grip levels of tracks are modeled acurately, and so is every single bump and kerb. I read somewhere that the GT cars in the game were not equal, so Simbin actualy had to put air restrictors in the VIRTUAL cars to make them equal! Its like the game lives.

tbh tho, the videos do make Race Pro look rubbish, the game is a port of an old PC game which hasn't chnaged for years now, so its bound to look rubbish compared to current gen racers. Forza has got no scenery apart from some tracks, and silverstone is a very well made track, just because it captures the feel of the track. In forza silverstone is dull compared to, say, sebring which has VERY BRIGHT tarmac and Tsukuba which has VERY BRIGHT orange boxes along the sides of the track.

I'm still looking forward to Race Pro, but mainly for the fact that we can race in actual WTCC cars with 12 people online. But I can see me losing interest in it quickly, and reverting back to some good old Forzaing

I would pick gameplay over graphics, any day of the week.

true, but its not hard to make a game look pretty these days

the best bit about porting the game to the 360 is that the steering wheels have green luminous screens on them for the in-car view

the simple thing is with any racing game... it will NEVER be as good as real life.

either we spends 1000s on real motorsport or buy a game which is a bit carp.

i'm not being a fanboy guys, this game is better than Forza graphically and gameplay wise... you wouldn't say someone who said F1 is better than F3 is a fanboy would you?

i think forza will be a more fun game but yes race pro will be nearer real life. i still think TOCA 3 is the best racing game ive ever played. id love too see a new f1 manger game or a motorsport career game where u have to press conferances, tv interviews etc etc.

TOCA Race Driver 3 was the best racing game I have played, it may not have been the most realistic, but it was defo the most fun.

I like the story aspect of Race Driver 1, but it was a bit silly lol

At least Race Pro will have a more gradual progression throughout the gane, rather than being abel to use a U class car against a D class car

the problem is tho ppl aint going too wait around 4ever for games too come out, lyk race pro and GT5. so there going too play got as gd games lyk GRID. plus wen GT5 comes out too by knowledge it could easy be £60 too buy.

I never said the graphics in Forza2 are good! They are not - clearly they put more into the gameplay than the GFX which is fine - and fine if Race Pro is the same, but TBH other genres can do gameplay as well as blinding grafix.

The videos look bad - the sound seems bad to but we will have to see.

As for my comment on the physics - this was pureley based on the seeming lack of slip in all of the videos and also the fact that the few occasions were contact was made cars did not seem to be affected at all.

So does anyone have it now???? Is it worth my money??

360 and PS3 games ALL have a recommended retail price of £49.99, however retailers often choose a lower price due to promotions, wholesale discounts or publisher deals...

One thing Ive really liked about this game is the physics and how the cars REALLY do look like their on the track. Watching them buck and move about over bumps is really good to see and the suspension movement is as good as the sort you used to get on GP4. Watching those replays in slow mo were always VERY impressive
Even if the game DOES look like a PC port, thats never a terrible thing. Even if graphicall its not 'the same' as FM2 its got enough benefits to outweigh the drawbacks and I really think the soulnd will be second to none!!
One thing Simbin can do well is sound
The end of the week cant come soon enough!!

from wat ive seen of race pro so far im not a fan. lets just hope for their shake and money that its no bad.
