How is this fair to guys that don't qualify well. I ran off the track 3 of my laps and ended up last. In the race, I have no way of knowing if I would have been last.

This vote here is totally unfair in a tight points battle for podiums. Pretty much screws the guys who cant hot lap!

If this race is determined off hot laps, that is a joke. That is in no way fair. Not one bit and I dare someone to try and debate with me why it would be. I am either 3rd or 4th based on guess of points.... To get another last place on a big track, without even getting to try...

There are +s and -s to each side.  Not knowing what will happen during race is same as going into qually and not know what will happen.  But I get what you are saying.  On the other hand, think of this... this was my first time in A lobby.  Was pretty stoked and ready to race.  Just so happens me and my teammate were #1 and #2.  I was excited about contributing to my team for the first time ever.  (I'm always the slow one)  Now... people who were complacent, or thought they were good to go this week?  They now know how much improvement they need to catch up and they have an entire extra week to do it.  I'm not saying either way is 100% the right choice... just pointing out that there is a good reason for doing either one.  Which ever choice is chosen by the public will NOT be unfair.  At least not any more unfair than the OTHER choice.  Just might not make YOU happy.  ("you" meant whoever reading this, not camber or iceman since they posted) And to be honest, screwing up the rest of the schedule is harder than you think. Yeah I might be a pussy, but I'm still married after 16 years. I am interrupting "family time" with these races and it takes a little begging to get approval to do so.

So because I got 5 dirty Laps with ghost cars driving through me and decided to safely take a lap around, I deserve last? My fastest dirty lap was over a full second faster... If I wanted to join a hot lapping series, I would have. I suck at qualifying. I was not the slowest car in the field today.

I think everyone would rather race. But your screwing up the schedule pushing back the 6h race at the end of the series. And to echo Cap10morgan's point it goes either way. You use qualifying position for points then you punish those who didn't do well. You give those same people another week of tuning and practicing you punish those that did well. I think it's a fair poll and either answer is correct.

I qualified second. My best since long beach, I would love that points wise, but If I cant race for a result it don't count for [Censored]. I'm here to race, so I say we hold our current qually times, roll them over into next week, get a chance to pick up some extra racers that couldn't make it this week, and we race it out.

A good qually time don't mean Jack if you can't race that pace in traffic.

I had the same problem. Couldnt see braking lines cause I caught up to people and kept getting in their ghost. But who knows what would have happened during the race. Maybe youd have same problem, maybe it was an off day for you. now you get a 2nd chance and could have your best day next week? Thats not fair either. Just like who knows what would have happened during qually next week. Either way, someone gets screwed. Just saying if you fall into the losing vote, dont get your panties in a wad. This is the most fair it could possibly be given the circumstances. WE as a whole get to decide the outcome.

I was having a tough time on this track and knew that I would not place well
but I really enjoy being in a clean racing series so I would rather postpone the race and a BIG thanks to all the people who make this series possible

Exactly. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. To be honest, I'm not sure how I'll vote. But even more "dissapointing" than the number of votes for any given category at this point is the griping that has happened in 5 minutes when this is being left up to us as the community. If you vote A and think B is screwing you... guess what? for every B vote, they think A is screwing you. Just pointing out that we need to look at BOTH sides of the coin, not just the one that makes YOU happiest.

Keep the qualifying times!  Hell - if we would have just stayed in the room and race instead of BACKING OUT to allow a late driver to qualify in by himself, we would not have this issue!  If you don't show up, you don't race.  Nascar, Tudor, f1.... They are not letting you get in the race 20 minutes in.  You don't want to hear my thoughts on that one....  Home cooking. Lmao! Let's see how many hits that gets! Lol.

I didn't back out to let someone qualify. I backed out to reset my xbox so I could try and have the best connection the host as possible.

i have NEVER seen a qualifying lobby go straight to race without SOMEONE having an issue and needing to reboot or something. or even if we didnt let him qually, we most CERTAINLY would have let him race. or someone getting kicked from lobby in 1st lap for that matter. (epecially with the full lobby we were going to have) when they couldnt connect to the lobby again, would you have just abandoned them? it is what it is. we deal with xbox live's crappy issues.

IF THERE ARE MORE THAT CAN RACE NEXT WEEK WE WILL HOLD A QUALIFYING SESSION FOR THEM. ADD THEM INTO THIS WEEK QUALIFYING AND THEN HOPEFULLY RACE NEXT WEEK.
