VVV Fitness - every like counts
Hello everyone,
As some of you that I talk to often will know, I'm a bit of a fitness nut. So much so, that like (too) many others around me, I have taken the next step and made it my career.
I've been doing this for around 8 months now, mainly for family/friends, but I have recently set up my official facebook page, and YouTube channel (YouTube still in development) to help promote myself and what I do.
Above, is my company logo, obviously, and below are the links to my facebook page and youtube channel.
All I ask is that you take 30 seconds to check them out and link/subscribe to help get my name out there more even if it is early days.
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/VVVFitness
YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7QJVnLLF0nohUsDYLiMscg
I'd really appreciate if you guys could do that, and if not, that's cool.
I know I'm very shamelessly plugging them, but the fitness industry is a tough one
I also got my business cards delivered today
which I think are awesome!
anyway,
Thank you guys
~Bradley/Erebus

It might have something to do with Latin though

Re: VVV Fitness - every like counts
Seemed familiar obviously it's not anyway, I can't see why they'd branch out like that haha
So do you do personal training then? Do you sell fitness related stuff?
I've been meaning to go to a gym for a while, it's been a long time since I've kept in check with my health really. It's not overly important to me but it's good to know you're all good under the hood; )

Re: VVV Fitness - every like counts
I do personal training and group fitness sessions.
i use body weight training, free weights (dumbbells/kettlebells) and typical commando style training.
My rates at the moment are $10/session for group and $25/session for PT
I can send you guys a monthly training program if you like because I've helped Kilroy and Steven out a few times with it in the past. I know you not the same as having me there to train you but it is still fitness!

Here's a question: What do protein shakes do?
When do you use them? Pros/Cons? Is there another alternative?
A couple of guys where I work drink them but to be honest I more see them shaking the bottle to mix it than actually drinking them or doing any actual exercise.

Ok
when you lift weights, the strain on the muscles creates micro tears in the muscle fibres. As we know, protein molecules make up our DNA structure, muscles, tendons, ligaments, the lot.
So, lifting weights creats micro tears in the muscular fibres, the heavier the weight, the bigger the tears. People then use protein shakes to repair and increase the protein build up in the muscles to make the muscles bigger, more toned or whatever they're trying to do.
why protein shakes compared to a 200g steak?
Well, the shake uses powders and is in a liquid form, this means it is absorbed into the body a lot quicker, meaning that the muscles are repaired faster and stronger,
When they should be taken?
Varies from person to person, trainer to trainer. Industry standard is usually 30 minutes before your workout to 'prime' the muscles and 30 minutes after to repair them
I hope that answers everything in enough detail without confusing you?
