For those not aware of the Tuning Rules that were in place from last year, here's how it was:

TASCAR - Season 2's tuning rules:
Tuning Available, BUT Final Drive & Downforce were not allowed to be altered from their "Default" values (3.15 Final Drive & 260 front / 364 Rear downforce)

No option for 'No Tuning'

That's stock tuning. One assumes that means tuning is allowed just no upgrades?

there will be upgrades, i guess i should clarify option 1 then. no tuning/default tuning

If it ends up being no tuning, then there should be no upgrades since it's really hard to enforce no tuning with upgrades.

It shouldn't be Tuning or Upgrades. Championships get a lot more entrants when you don't have to do much to the car apart from paint.

Plus, All this Tuning rubbish means that people who aren't necessarily good tuners, but are good drivers, end up being uncompetitive.

after seeing the cars race at full tuning, i highly recommend it. and if ppl can't tune, then hit up any of the XPR guys that will be racing in this series and we will help you out

I say Full Tuning, as I feel that right now we have a full quota of limited/no tune spec series going on.

So, does full tuning mean unlimited upgrades? So we could all be drivving R2 Stock cars?

No, the cars can be set up from stock.

Full tuning would mean to restrictions to the tune itself unlike last year's restrictions i put in place. I've got the builds for the Stock Cars set, this was just to vote for how the tuning restrictions Will be set

i really wish this could move days. anyways as a past VM champion of nascar racing, i honestly think it should be tuning. being able to tune the car makes it more realistic since that is what TORA wants. Am i right? ok i will be glad to put any tunes i make for these cars on my SF for free. i will also try and get EZT Tomcat7 who is really good at ovals to help as well if he doesnt make an appearence. EMW daddy is also a good friend and im sure hed do the same. i know that tuning will make the races way more fun and less accident proof as a stock tune will be horrible around sedona oval and le mans. so id say lets go with tuning even though i am not racing in it.

PS i had to beat out the likes of F4H mikem and F4H Insanity EZT Tomcat7 to win the championship and i know you guys know they are good at oval racing. anyways have a good night hope this puts some light on this topic.

i don't think people realize how bad a stock tuned stock-car will be around these tracks tho...

Mark, we should run some practice sessions with the car's build and around the various scheduled tracks. That's where we will get the best opinion from people versus a personal preference. i think... lol

drag tyres are awesome the season i won the championship at vm was with drag tyres.

To minimize any cheating, and save yourself the time of checking everyone's telemetry in replays every week, I'd suggest fully tuned with set upgrades, no tune no upgrades, or even tuned w/o upgrades.

Upgrades w/o tuning is asking for trouble. Give people room to cheat, and I can all but guarantee that someone will.

No tuning is the best way of having everyone on a level playing field and would be easyer for any new drivers wanting to join in. The Ovals are the best fun in these cars and tracks like Sedona can be great fun without a tune its just about the lines taken.

i was brand new to stock car racing vm nascar 1. i finished second in points behind glr brizzo then champ the next season. i had no idea what i was doing as i nvr raced a nascar series before those two series.

No tuning makes this a spec series, and we have alot of those goin on now.

Allowing us to tune to the max makes everyone on level playing field.. People are always willing to help with tuning.

I like no tuning.

It puts everyone on even playing field for those that can
not spend time everyday perfecting tunes.

Stock tuning means no upgrades... May appear to be a level field but the same drivers will rise to the top regardless. But the cars will be harder to drive and this be less fun.

Trust when I say it again, we will help people that don't have the time to tune.
