In the Cup 4 thread when the next car was being discussed, I got the impression from XPR Soundwave that the next SPEC cup wasn't going to use a DLC car (link to previous thread here)

Why did you guys change your mind?

As someone new to TORA I got the impression that the spec series were a good way to get involved with a lower skill and commitment level than some of the other series.  Why would you make an entry level series require participants to buy additional game content?

I'd rather not put any more money into Forza 5 when I'm expecting to buy Project CARS soon (hopefully).  This car is one that would require me to buy an entire car pack.

Was I incorrect to think this series was supposed to be somewhat of a ease your way into organized online racing series?  The choice of a high power car with no traction control allowed further alienates the beginner.

Drive the car.

sorry but sound wave doesnt have any part of this. so if he told you something different to what you see. dont take it out on him


also the no TCS shouldnt be a problem. if you feel the car is over whelming. feel free to ask for help. im sure me or others in the community are willing t o help you with a tune and what not.
also the car is 4WD

The cost of £2-3 for a DLC vs the enjoyment of competitive series racing is well worth it.

I would be all over this shame it at 1am UK.

I see your point, and we've generally shied away from DLC cars in the past for that reason, but the car of choice was picked because it's a great car to drive, being AWD with high downforce eliminates the need for TCS, and being somewhat an odd duck with no comparable cars for it to be in other series with, Spec Cup is the only way the car can really see any official TORA action.

Anybody care to share lap times they've done on road Atlanta.thinking about running this.
