EZT enter the TORA Touring Car Championship

Stock Car outfit EZT continues to branch out into road racing with an entry into the TORA TCC. The team announced this evening that it would be entering the TORA TCC for season 3 following the successful negociations with lead sponsors Fixmyconsole.co.uk. As a result, HoW Jones announced that EZT, which is part-owned by him, would be submitting an entry to the third season.

Lead driver HoW Jones' preparation is well underway and he has been testing a variety of cars ahead of car selection. A second will be announced soon and a third driver may be announced later. For now though, the team is a one car effort.

HoW Jones said: "It will be tough joining such a competitive series and adjusting to turning right as well as left, but I hope to be reasonably close to the pace soon. If I secure the services of my teammates and tuners it well smooth the learning curve. Right now I am waiting to see how car selection turns out and preparing for Mugello."

UPDATE: FMC out, Halfords in as primary sponsor. Team intends to run SEAT Leon.

Team owner HoW Jones said:

"With Team Prestwick losing Halfords sponsorship the opportunity was too good to ignore and Halfords accepted our offer and will be on our cars at Mugello."

Team now running a Honda Civic Type R.

Disappointing debut for EZT with Halfords at Mugello.

New team EZT with Halfords had a night to forget at the opening round of the TORA TCC. Solo driver HoW Jones received his new Honda Civic just before qualifying, where he finished last. After leaving to put more miles on the car, he was left unable to connect to any of the race lobbies.

I have decided to pick up as team principle.

all new sponsors and all new name will be coming soon and we are committed to running the rest of the schedule in the civic si.

if you want to merge with xti, you can do that general. youre always welcome over here

Sorry general. I don't know how to tune and I proved very slow when I practiced so I found myself uncompetitve. In the stock car series I run, it's easier for me to be competitive there. I found I could only dedicate my time to one series, and I chose stock cars. I didn't want to string you along with false hope all season.
