What's the reason the new GTE cars aren't on the list? Just curious since I haven't been around here for months...

We are only using the 2011-2013 style equipment this year.  We will probably end up using the new GTE cars at some point later this year.

There was a GT2 Jag, and the only other Aston is the GT1 which didn't balance. We got as close as we could.

The Jaguar did do a GT2 car (mainly from the IMSA series, and had a horrible time in the race. think both were out in the first hour. And the Aston Martin, same aswell, there is a GT2 car. and they did run with that shape of vantage from 2009 in privateer hands before switching back to a factory effect to GT2/GTE. infact the real Lemans 24hrs will be the cars Final Ever race at Lemans.

since turn 10 decide to add it so b****y late. since they like to have cars with makes no f****** sense in a motorsport game.

The cars listed in the lineup all raced at Le Mans in that era, though some were slightly different specs and some have continued racing across the various GT classes since, evolving to suit the latest rules. The Jaguar was run by US outfit Jaguar RSR and ran as #81 in 2010 as a GT2 car and retired by lap 4, but did run for the American Le Mans Series and was featured on Forza Motorsport 4 as well



The Aston Martin Vantage ran in GT2 spec with a V8 engine as far back as 2008 under Drayson Racing (run by Lord Drayson, former British politician) where it completed 272 laps until an alternator failure ended their challenge with a couple of hours to go. It’s only recently, as the latest iteration of the car (GT3 with a V12 engine) was about to be retired from top line Motorsport did we receive a version of it in the Forza world. As said above, this year is the last year we will see that generation Vantage at Le Mans as it races in the GTE Pro-Am category with AMR factory car and also TF Sport.



The BMW Z4 didn’t actually race at Le Mans but it was a GTE car (the ones in the game), which was then the renamed GT2 category (now GTLM in the States) and debuted in 2013 in the American Le Mans Series as well as the European Le Mans Series as a GT3 spec car (though this series was affiliated with Le Mans, it was not part of the calendar to race there).

Which stats are you getting with which parts? And are you sure you're in the 2011 Ferrari?

You're right. My bad.2014 looks the same.

I think the BMW M3 GT2 was kind of slapped in the face with this homologation. Can't reach the stop speeds that most of its competitors can and has really tricky handling on these skinny tires. Maybe I've messed my tune up but I cannot see how it could be competitive. I've beaten my time in the M3 with different cars by about 1,5-2 seconds each.

It's really hard to tune, but it has the pace.

Porsche and Ferrari have new rims! Same performance, just look a lot better.

BUILD UPDATE

Due to multiple concers being voiced and further testing a build adjustment has been made to the BMW Z4 GTE. The new build gains +1 front tire width and maximum rear tire width, but with a -20% power handicap.

Seems like when you look at Qualifying The Corvette is almost 2 seconds of pace. A bit sad. Same goes for the Viper.
While the Jag and Z4 is non existent. But all in all its going to be a great race. Even if the top is only Porsche,Aston and Ferrari.

All cars are capable of clean 53s, staff and dev team members have seen people doing that. Yes, this includes the updated Z4. In some cars it’s more difficult to get the pace out of it than in others, but 53s are possible.
