Re: 24 Hours of Daytona - General Discussion
Anyone tried pitting in race setting yet?
FM7 has the normal sports car pit exit blocked off. It’s the NASCAR One, but intersects right where a GT cars 1st apex heavy braking zone. I’m normally 140mph there slowing down to 60mph. Not a great place for pitted cars to blend at all

This is what we've had to work with every year and it's not ideal but our only choice. The person exiting the pits must be careful to stay on the left and as long as the person coming into turn one is paying attention there aren't usually any problems.

Will the track limits for the race be forza clean or can we put 2 tires on grass through the bus stop?

Re: 24 Hours of Daytona - General Discussion
Done some serious testing today and this is what I have found.
The Corvette and BMW are gonna be way faster in the race here, the Vette definitely needs at least 1 tire width taken off the back in my opinion (still is super easy to drive)
The Ford has one lap pace but there's no point picking it as it's too slow down the straight.
Fezza and Porsche are so inconsistent!

We were testing the race limits earlier today, and the Corvette is 2-3 tenths quicker than the BMW per lap, and it's more consistent. The Corvette is probably about a half second up or more on everything else. Here are my optimals based on splits with the race limits:
Corvette: 1:41.7
BMW: 1:41.9
Ferrari: 1:42.2
Porsche and Ford TBD
I fully agree with the Corvette losing at least 1 rear tire. It loses 1-2 tenths a lap and a tiny bit of consistency, which is exactly what it needs.

Does it lose 1-2 tenths a lap though? Craviator is telling me he's doing similar laptimes in the Corvette -1 rear tire and car feels even better.

I would consider 1-2 tenths off "similar". It loses a bit of pace and consistency with the change, which is what it needs. Crav's own teammate already suggested the change in this thread, so that's 2 against 1 for those who have actually tested it.
I don't understand how this is even up for debate when around 70% of the grid is signed up in the C7.

What is the reasoning behind mandate to do 3 stops? This seems like a giant slap in the face to anyone that thought there might be some sort of strategy.
What cars need to stop more then twice In order to finish 100min race?

It’s like this because not all the cars can do one stint on 2 pit stops. (Ford GT)
It also makes it so that the racing is closer with no real loopholes and shortcuts to take to get an extra mile on someone. It’s up to the drivers pace.
