TORA BRITISH GT ESPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP 2020 - Meeting 2 Driver's Briefing (Hockenheimring)

Welcome to the second meeting of the 2020 Season of the British GT eSport Championship! The next stop of the season finds us jumping across the Atlantic and heading to Hockenheim, Germany to visit the Hockenheimring!  Although there has been a racing circuit in Hockenheim since the 1930s, the modern track is very different from how it started.  From the high-speed blast through the forest track that was nearly destroyed during WW2, the Hockenheimring has been thoroughly transformed into a modern autodrome.  Since then, the track has been hosting a wide variety of events from the Carrera Cup to Formula One.

Qualifying - Qualifying for BGT will be a timed session lasting 15 minutes.  Once 15 minutes have expired, racers will finish the lap that they are currently on before stopping on the back straight.  The pits will be open the entire 15 minutes for pit stops. Drivers that fail to complete a clean lap time will have their fastest dirty lap time will be recorded and placed lower than the slowest clean lap times. Remember that drivers should be/appear online 15 minutes prior to the qualifying start, and should keep in-party chat to a minimal.
 
Race - Both races will consist of 18 racing laps (1 out lap + 18 racing laps + 1 extra for results collection) for a total of 20 laps. Drivers are expected to be familiar with the rules and regulations come race time. 

Weather - The weather for Race 2 will start on Drizzle, then transitioning to Light Rain, and then back to Drizzle before the end of the race.

Pit Stops - There is 1 mandatory pit stop during each race. The pit lane will be opened after the second racing lap (Lap 3) and will be closed two laps prior to the final racing lap (Lap 17).

Starting Procedure - The race will start with a typical 60 mph 2x2 Rolling Start towards the end of the warm-up lap. Remember that each row of 2 cars are not to accelerate to race pace until THEY pass the Start/Finish line.
