MB Motorsport 90's

MB Motorsport have decided to field two Nissan R390's in GT1 for the series, running a replica paint of the 1997 LeMans entry. Therefore the team would like to announce there title sponsor 'nissan racing'. The team have began preperation in ernest and the cars are currently being painted with one already finished, and are going through a tuning process shortly.

Sponsors are to be finalised shortly but expect to see many of the corporate names seen on the original paint, including Clarion, Calsonic, and Zexel.

MB Motorsport 90's can now confirm sponsorship of the team and the two R390's for the TORA GT90's series. Nissan and side entity Nismo, as already confirmed, will become the main title sponsor, and bring with them the original sponsors from the 1997 LeMans 24 hours, including:

The cars returned from the paint shop late last nite and the team managed to squezze in some track time at the Nissan speedway for testing the cars durability under pressure and at the Motegi curcuit. The team learnt valuable information about the car, but realise much work is still to be done in order for the cars to be 100% competitive. The drivers had mixed views on the cars handling, with Sgt JigglyMoobs saying ...the car is performing well in the corners but lacks acceleration in the lower gears, however im sure the team can help give me back some confidence in the car before the first meeting. But team founder and the teams first driver racelegend MB1 complimented the cars handling but also recognised the progress had to be made in time for the first two rounds.

The sessions also provided an oppertunity for the team to get some photographs of the cars, however official TORA decals are yet to be confirmed and applied.

The team are now focusing on getting the cars ready for the opening round and are currently fine tuning, howver it is important to note that this is being seen as a series for the drivers to enjoy the cars, the banter and maybe get a result. We are aware we are in a tough class with some class competitors and as long as we do our best, the result will follow.

'Disater' was the word used by team boss and founder, reacelegend MB1, as he described the performance of the team at last nights GT90's opener. Both drivers were aware of the lack of pace in the cars, but still hoped for good things, after a little tuning help from a certain PLOWtheButhcer. However it went quite bad, Sgt Jiggly Moobs managed to qualify 9th at Road america in class, with racelegend MB1 suffering again from technical (connection) problems, causing him to not manage to post a time at both Road america and Sebring.

The race itself was not too bad, with Sgt JigglyMoobs managing to pick up places after a slow get away, before the teams tactically early pitstop. whilst racelegend fought with TORA founder Jenson09 for 11th and 12th. After the pitstops, Sgt JigglyMoobs found himself set in third, where he remained for the rest of the race; and racelegend MB1 was in an intense battle with AJzero for 10th, however this allowed 12th place Jenson09 to catch the pair making it a three way battle. racelegend MB1 lost out to Jenson09 but then picked up the pace and hunted him down and managed to catch him on the final lap, he passed on the inside through the follow through and was suprised to see the slower cornering Jaguar of AJzero, which he unfortunately collected. Jenson 09 took 10th and racelegend gave back 11th ro AJzero as a gesture of good will and appology.

Sebring saw further technical issues for racelegend MB1 and Sgt JigglyMoobs struggled with the curcuit, finishing in 12th and 11th respectively.

But now on to the european stage and some more familiar turf for the team that should suit the Nissans better than the fast flowing american curcuits.

Therefore the team would like to announce there title sponsor 'Yellow racing'. The team have began preperation in ernest and the cars are currently being painted, and are going through a tuning process shortly.

Sponsors are to be finalised shortly but expect to see many of the corporate names seen on the original paint, including Maxell, Motorola and Motul.
