Relentless THR - News Feed

With Season 2 almost over, lead driver Jamie Wynder has been talking about the future. And well this is what he had to say:

"With a great range of cars being allowed to race in next season, all I can say is the British GT will be even stronger then ever. However I must admit, while I wanted to do much better in the second season.

I must remember a lot of great drivers have come through the ranks to make season 2 far harder."

Also Jamie Wynder added: "Some of the back room staff at Vodafone THR will be working with both me and Matt to help make Season 3 far better for the team with some luck."

New Day of Season 3 testing

Jamie Wynder has today revealed the final cars that have made it to the final shortlist, are the following:

Audi S5
Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997)
Porsche 911 Turbo (997)
TVR Sagaris
TVR Tuscan R

However Jamie Wynder has also said, that his final car should be decided in the next 2-3 weeks or within the next month.

17th September - 3rd seat for driver search still goes on

After failing to sign KRI5 One for the 3rd drivers slot, which has made Vodafone THR unhappy. The search will carry on into the week, which is when Vodafone THR hope to finally end the search.

However Jamie Wynder, did confrim Vodafone THR's bosses have made some offers to some top drivers from S2. Which they hope one of the drivers accepts the offer.

Jamie Wynder also revealed the drivers finished in the top 7 drivers championship.

17th September - Jamie finally reveals what car he will be using

After a couple of weeks testing, Jamie Wynder has revealed that he is going to be using the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997). Jamie also said, now that is out of the way further testing can go into the car I will be using next season.

Which means this will give THR more time to get the car to hopefully drive much better, and give the driver more a chance this season.

17th September - 3rd Driver search finally finished

Vodafone THR finally found there 3rd driver this evening, with Selective Rogue signing up to the team for the final drivers seat.

In order to ascertain its pace over extreme distances the THR team threw themselves in the deep end and entered the Britcar 24hour race at Silverstone.
A low key entry so as not to detract from the main runners saw the Gallardo under a restricted engine , perfom well and finish the race a respectable 30th place.
jenson09 said that while the team was pleased with the result the main thing was to assure the car could go the distance after mechanical maladies plagued the Lambo's first season with the team.
The improvent was startling and welcomed by all in the team. Much is xpected as Season 3 of the BGT looms closer.

The nature of the car meant it was not officially classified but allowed to race under special dispensation by the organisers.

THR expects o revea its other team colours for Selective Rogue and TVR Fan very soon.

27th September - Team Photo Shoot planned for Sunday

Jamie today revealed that THR are hoping to do a Photo Shoot on Sunday.

Selective Rogue - Completed in some pre-racing yesterday in the itialian gt @ monza on (GTR2).

Rogue was driving a modified Gillet Vertigo Streiff for renaudkuppens.

After a 45 lap battle with gt1 and gt cars and 2 pitstops Rogue came a great 6th place in a gt3 car.

Rogue is quoted as saying "I was really pleased with my performance and am looking to a great 2nd season in the brit GT".

Rogue is also looking to a testing with Jenson and TVR and also some more pre racing action with his porsche 911 rs with the porsche open cup.

6th October - Good to feel wanted

Jamie Wynder can today reveal JLG Racing tried to sign him up for there team last week. However when asked about this offer, Jamie had this to say:

"I rejected the offer, mainly because Vodafone THR feels more like a home to me."

That and the fact TVRFan is basically runs the team when Im not here... we dont have a one two three rather the McLaren approach. Equal chances till the mathematics work against you!

10th - October - Final Pre-Season Testing

Jamie today revealed that Vodafone THR will be doing final pre-season testing on Saturday.

THR Vodafone pitched up at Silverstone toay (Friday in order to set up camp for the start of Season 3. The test team along with TVR Fan and Selective Rogue remaned away from the cicuit to complete final tests ahead of the meeting but assured all that the cars would not be late for the raceday.
Meanwhile the prepped garages stand largely empty though the teams new multimillion pound hospitality centre is doing a roaring trade in bacon butties and PG Tips!!

The only car on site is jenson09's Lamborghini, this weekend acting as the show car while the manager is away on business.
The teams active cars are expected to arrive at the circuit late Saturday night.

THR announces SIMBIN advertising update.

In order to promote the new RACE Pro SIMIN game and future BGTA series the THR cars will now appear with RACE Pro branding.
Team boss jenson09 revealed the new livery at Road Atlanta today.

That is 1 nice looking car!

Ta mate... the RACE Pro logo took me an age!! It not perfect but its pretty damned close enough. I have that and a RACE 07 plate done for my WTCC replcas Im gonna start on soon.

After just one round of the BGT, T.H.R can announce an exciting new major sponsor will be appearing in the very near future.
The team consider this signing a major coup and are preparing the new decals for release.

2nd November - Jamie Wynder comes out of the shadows to give his final words, after resigining from the BGT and BTCC

While the loss of Jamie resigning may of hit the team hard, Jamie Wynder has reveled he will still be supporting the team. However Jamie has said he may still do some photography work for the team every now and again.

Other then that, he did say one more thing:

"I may or may not make a return to the BGT later next year."

THR will return shorthly with a BRAND NEW sponsor and jenson09 WILL BE RACING following a change in personal circumstances.

THR, today confirmed that for the first round in a while the team WOULD be fielding two cars AND that team owner jenson09 would be making his S3 debut after a long absence due to work commitments.
It was also announced that the team would be running at least ONE of the two cars with the new Relentless sponsorship.
The team now re-branded Relentless THR will run continue to run with Vodafone sponsorhip but this will not be as prominant. A full rebrand is expected for aither late in S3 or certainly for S4 but the Relentless sponsorship is a major coup for the team.

jenson09 had this to say:
"We wanted to make a statement about ourselves. We have a superb driver in Selective Rogue and I'm known for my steady drives!! Between the two of us we are in a way 'relentless'. We never stop, we're always pushing forward and we never give up. The team has been thruogh the mill of late and we want to show the rest of the grid we are STILL here and STILL worth watching."

Relentless THR will make it's debut at Motegi on the 23rd.
