It is still happening on the same date and time its just not an event anymore its an extra round of the CER championship.

The meeting is still happening as planned, just not as an 'Event', instead as a additional round of CER.

By whom, and for what reason(s)? Has the race length now been shortened from its intended 2 hours?

Is this just because of the football/grand prix/tennis?

The only thing that has changed is it will now be classed as a CER round and points will count towards the CER championship.

The numbers we are expecting are not large enough to merit 'event' status in our view.

The demand for 'classic' racing has simply not been present, which is something that has been keenly noted by the staff.

wimp Wink nah all of the R2 cars are horrible without TCS a lot more difficult than any of the R1 car so i cant blame you.

Ha, it was ok if I had the time to practice like at Road America I didnt mind coz I could practice and get used to it but I've drastically scaled back my participation since then and I dont get time to practice and get used to no TCS again. I think thats what may have put people off. That McLaren is especially awkward without TCS.

I just wondered how this decision was made, seeing as I was testing with the Head Steward yesterday, and he apparently had no idea that the event had been downscaled to this extent. I have to say that aside from the disappointment of this downscaling, I'm disappointed at the late notice and general way the events have been handled to date. There is very little information filtering down from the staff at the moment, and I suspect that there is little communication going on BETWEEN the staff too.
