A couple of a paint that never made it to race day... untill now

Hey Chaddy, saw these recently and thought of you, you should definitely get one!



This has got nothing to do with Remembrance, the war, or anything other than the reflection the paintjobs have of a Spitfire and a Messerschmidt, two epitomising objects that reflect Britain versus Germany. Your association with that is yours alone to make, the rest of us never made that assumption.

TORA may be UK based, but we cater to an international audience. There are some symbols that can be considered offensive in relating to the war, such as the Swastika, which despite the real BF-109s (and my source pic) carrying, I did not replicate on the paintjob.

Anyway, the Jagermeister logo is my bad, threw these together in an hour last night and missed that, just picked a German-looking logo. The car will not run with it in the race.

to nick and scot, there is a point that those paints are from planes that killed a awful lot of people in many different countrys and due to that i wouldnt want to see them "battle" again. its a dark side to worlds history and to bring it to a "racetrack" would upset the public in real life, and we re trying to be as real life as we can. These paints should be ruled in TORA just like any sex, tobacco and drug related paints.

Do Messerschmidts, Lancasters and Mosquitos turn up at airshows for people to marvel at? Yes. Does the imagery appear in pop culture with regard to the Britain versus Germany rivalry? Yes. Have their been race cars in real-life that carry similar liveries? Yes.

It wasn't the machines that killed people, it was the people who sat in them pulling the triggers. And we recognise them as heroes. The ones on our side, anyway. Your attempt at pseudo-nationalism and anti-German jingoism is misplaced.

I'm already tired of this nonsense issue. I refer to my earlier picture, which was not of the bike, but of the grip.

jeez chaddy you saying the planes killed people is like saying guns kill people..... well fighter plane is nothing more than a flying gun! Guess no one can run with Remington sponsorship now!.... Oh that means no more mitsubishi's allowed in any TORA series either seeing how they did build one of these flying guns!
