if you want to know what Hamilton did in Hungray 07, He was ment to let alonso passed in Quli to allow Alonso to pit 1st, He never cause he thought the team was favouring Alonso.. and thats what caused Alonsos reaction.

Oh and i am a hamilton hater big time. What he did at raikkonen in 08 @ Canada was Crazy! Also at Spa 08 he basically cheated tho it was a fine line. Aussie 09 he lied and blamed the team. Monza 08 he drove glock and Kubica off the road. sure theres more...

Wow, someone's a Ferrari and Red Bull fan boy...

Hamilton let Alonso pit first in Hungary 07 in quali, and Alonso waited in the pits so Hamilton couldn't get a second lap as he was quicker than him.

Canada 2008 he couldn't see the pit lane light on red and yes it was his mistake by running into the back of Raikkonen but also Rosberg then ran into Hamilton so it was a simple mistake. Spa 08 he was forced off of the road and then went to overtake at the next corner made a clean pass and then Raikkonen tried to slice his tyre with his front wing hardly fair is it?? 09 the team told him to let Trulli back past and he did, he then followed team orders and tried to cover it up not knowing what truely happend. Monza 08 already disscused before he wasn't couldn't see Glock because of the spray and the positioning of the crappy mirrors.

Now if you want me to go into the mistakes that Vettel's done then just let me know, stop being a hater all the time and accept that all F1 drivers make mistakes over there career and stop being a F1 [Censored]...

You see, this is why I always root for the drivers like Petrov, Perez and Kobyashi, I can't wait to see how they progress through their respective careers.

Seriously can't wait to see how F1 plays out over the next five years, Its been a long time since there has been so much talent in the field! I blame GP2 Razz

I love GP2, it's been a huge success in bringing talent over from GP2 to F1, Glock, Kovalinen, Rosberg, Hamilton, Petrov, Perez and Kobayashi the big names from GP2 who have been succesful, there have been a few failures though: Di Grassi, Grosjean, Nelson Piquet Jr and Bruno Senna!

Think about it. When it comes to Formula 1, theres always an awful lot of driver favouritism by people, so think about that before you post, might save a few arguments! Smile

I agree. When Vettel hit Button at Spa last year that was entirely his fault. I always think its the overtaking driver's responsibility to get past safely.

When Vettel made the crazy gesture about Webber at Turkey last year, I was the first to call that childish.

These guys are professional athletes, they should be held to a higher standard than everybody else.

I'm not exactly a fan of Hamilton, but he is great for F1, a great driver, and not afraid to go for it. I just hate it when some drivers (its an F1 problem) go all into spoiled tantrums.
When was the last time you heard an F1 driver say something particularly clever?

I usually found what Kimi said pretty clever lol. But seriously, Webber is the first to come to mind. He always speaks his mind in a level headed way regardless of how he feels about the situation.

johnnyboy360 wrote:1. The reason I'm not noticing Red Bulls upgrades is cos I dont like them.

2. Who else is he gonna complain to? He will obviously complain to his team who will go ok, we will look into it and get something done, blah blah blah, and when something does happen and he is still not happy, he is gonna think his team aint listening and complain to the media.

Yes we are always gonna have favouritsm over some drivers and we are gonna express our feelings and opinions, and some will agree while others start arguements that no one can win cos we are not in the drivers shoes. So why is it that when only a few of us, express our opinions, get put into an arguement cos we expressed an opinion? And yet others get "Well yeah true" and nothing else is said? It's people who start arguements over opinions who I hate. No one has started an arguement, only expressed their feelings which people automatically assume is an arguement and jump in. I support Hamilton because he is British. He is a great driver and it has been proven. I feel as if this season is being ruined by Vettel. Because people will eventually, not watch the race, see the result and go "Oh, no suprise, Vettel won." But, I'm done with expressing my opinion, cos I know I'm not gonna win cos its an opinion no one else agrees with.

McLaren does listen to Hamilton though. They are by far the best team on the grid in terms of in season development.

I don't think anyone has a problem with others expressing their opinions, that's basically what online forums are for. I'm just pointing out what I see to be flawed reasoning in what you're saying.

You see, this is why I always root for the drivers like Petrov, Perez and Kobyashi, I can't wait to see how they progress through their respective careers.

Grosjean and Senna are not really failures, Grosjean was better than Piquet, just got knocked out by Russian Government Roubles to get Petrov in.

Senna drove a Hispania. Full stop.

As for the potential future rejects.

Di Grassi... never really did anything special. Buemi and Algesuari seem to be trotting around pointlessly too. Glock showed some promise at Toyota in 2008 and 2009, before stacking it at Suzuka and giving Kobyashi his shot. D'Ambrosio seems to be doing the Di Grassi, or should I say, the Di Who?

Kovalainen.. Won a few with McLaren, we seem to forget he drove for them now.. Seems like one of these drivers who's career has just sort of faded away.

Karthikein... erm... why is he back in F1?!

Grosjean seems to be cleaning up in GP2, so I don't think he was given a fair shot in F1, especially with Alonso as his teammate. His results were never going to match up.

Similar with Heikki, I think he appeared worse than he is because he was teammates with Hamilton.

I think I'd give Senna and Chandhok another shot too. The HRT was never going to perform no matter who was driving it. On the other hand, Chandhok is very good with the 5Live guys during free practice, so part of me hopes he doesn't get another drive so he can keep doing that.

At this point, I don't know what to think of Glock. I thought he was pretty good, albeit not great, at Toyota. But now he is just wasting away in that Virgin. I think he either needs to jump ship and try to get someone like Trulli's seat or just give up on F1 and move to sports cars. I could see him being pretty successful racing for someone like Audi, although they don't seem too keen to sign former F1 pilots, so he might have better luck with Peugeot.

Grosjean is really showing his talent this year.

Chandhok is one of the best new personalities in F1, a cracking lad to listen to, really knows his stuff about F1 too!

Couldn't see it mentioned in this discussion but...

@LewisHamilton

"Hey guys. I wanted to apologise 4 last weekends performance & also my comments after, I never meant to offend no1. I would also like to say thank u 2 everyone on here, 4 their positive messages & also 2 the angry messages. I can respect them both. 2 Massa & Maldonado, with the greatest respect I apologise if I offended u. Both of u r fantastic drivers who I regard highly."

I can't work out if this is genuine or a forced message from the team. When he was saying about its a frickin (lol) joke that he's been to the stewards so often this year, that's got to be a real comment. A thought thats been eating away inside him?

I imagine that was genuine. I don't think the team would force him to apologise on Twitter. That is his personal account so I imagine it's genuine. Good spot Simon, dunno how I missed that!

EDIT: I can understand the FIA making him apologise publicly, which they have I believe, but not on his personal account. I just read this. http://motortweets.com/lewishamilton/news/510070 He is saying, if he is forced to change his driving style, he will quit F1. I don't blame him.

Yeah we do sort of know how McLaren work. They are an honest, and great team. McLaren can't force their drivers to do anything, no team can. Drivers nowadays are capable enough to apologise when they need to. Now, I'm not sure if you watch the interviews or read the news but, most drivers apologise. I don't know how any team works, none of us do. So, just because you hate McLaren, don't assume stuff that you don't know

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/motorsport/formulaone/8546595/Lewis-Hamilton-apologises-for-post-race-insults-at-Monaco-Grand-Prix.html

The last thing I'd like to add to the topic. That article is right that if Senna was around he would encourage Lewis's style of driving, but I do not think that its accurate to say he is emulating Senna.

In Senna's case, he was absolutely unrepentant about his actions on track. He explained his point of view calmly and always stuck to his code of driving. He is now considered the greatest ever despite the flak he got at the time.

Schumi has displayed similar levels of ruthlessness and has always been cold and consistent about it, although not as open and forthcoming as Senna. He is statistically the greatest driver ever.

With Lewis, he drives aggressively and people love him for it. The problem I see is that he can't keep a level head afterwards when people criticize him. After Monaco, had he simply said yes, I accept these penalties, but given the chance, I would do the same thing over again, and will continue trying to win as hard as possible, people would not have had a problem with that.
