Re: TC2000
How the hell have you been watching it ''the past few years''? I certainly have not found a place to watch it..
Its a really nice rules package they have down there, there is a spec engine I believe. 2 litre petrol.

Re: TC2000
I dont mean to be horrible, but how the hell are they able to have 34 cars in a touring car race down there when the BTCC cant even get 20?

Re: TC2000
i think most of the teams have manufacturer support and are able to run around 2-4 cars each so they've got numbers that way

Re: TC2000
TC2000 is very big in Argentina, the big manufacturers are involved as the running costs are low (compared to other series) and the South American market is huge. TC2000 puts on big events in cities and even has some V8 Supercar style endurance rounds.

Re: TC2000
It may also be to do with the fact that TC2000 is the top touring car championship in South America. In Europe the manufacturers have too many options.

Re: TC2000
I was watching this the other day, the cars look pretty funky to me. Did anyone see the in-car shots of the Fiat? The camera car retired mid-race, but it was just the driver sat inside an aluminium box! No dashboard or anything, just the controls mounted to a frame. It almost looked like an expensive playseat setup.

Re: TC2000
Watched it today. The circuit was, shall we say, agricultural looking!
Awesome field of cars though and some good drivers in there.

Re: TC2000
Turismo Carretera is my favourite though, up untill last year, members of the public could pay to be in the passenger seat of the cars during the races!
And the cars sound amazing.
