lovely time dude. We are seriously off the pace currently. Loads of work to get the old dog down into the 1:33.9's!!

I feel the Audi is not suited particularly well the Nurb GP as a down force track for P1 cars.

Here's hoping we have the upper hand somewhere else and that we are competitive for good fights at the remaining ones Wink

Yo Chaddy, to go quicker is quite simple, as with the tune you have already I can hit 1:34's around Nurb GP. Simply turn on TCS like the rest of us in P1

Keep at it chaddy, you'll get there in the end! I'm quite lucky to hit a 1:34.9xx in my Lola Aston because I didn't think it was possible in the car around the Nurburgring GP circuit.

Retracted and apologies DAN. Nice time. Imagine where you'd be with it on. And you know this now cancels out ALL of your issues with not being exactly on pace. The difference is mainly in the TCS decision I feel.

I tried turning on TCS at Tsukuba in a test if you remember? I was slower with it on than off because it wouldn't let me put the power down properly.

me too, but i just stuck with it as it is defo quicker with tcs on in P1. worth learning matey. could be putting you up there for the win or a podium over the europe leg ;O) I'd personally jusy hotlap it with tcs on until the race on sunday. It'll click mate as doing times like that without tcs you can obviously drive P1 quickly.

U may remember how stubborn about not using tcs i used to be also, just being competitive in the R15 was more important at the end of the day Wink The more competitive the class gets the better the racing and replays matey so having up the front is Legard ;O) i.e. crucial!! lol

Dan for this track you may want to try TCS, i remember lfcnick trying a car with TCS just for the heck of it around this track and he went a second faster and we all know how nick never uses TCS.

I am using it in GT2. Learned my lesson in the first race. You get damage without traction your car is toast. You can gut it out with it though.

the mans got a point, i was testing in my P2 Porsche and got within 1 second of the top P1 times so that would have been a really fun race for me if i raced and a pain for everyone else Laughing

Definately don't need it for GT2 though, love the slideyness of the Panoz i prefer GT cars with a bit of slideyness Razz

Its ok saying to me that using TCS is a must. But it's all down to personal preference at the end of the day. I have always done better without TCS. Not only can I get the power down easier, but I feel the system slows me down. I've tried it many times previously and I don't feel it helps me at all.

You're not listening to the point I'm making which is that TCS slows me down!! The only reason why I can't really challenge is the Lola Aston isn't exactly the best car. Think people would have realised that by now! Obviously not! Rolling Eyes

nope, your not listening, it slowed me down to, until I stuck it out and learned how to drive faster with TCS on. P1 cars are quicker with TCS on, FACT, you WILL be to if you stick at it.

Obviously, your choice Dan, not saying you have to.

Well the tune for a car using/not using TCS is different. You can tune for less stability and more response to get into and out of corners quicker with TCS on. Without TCS the car has to be tuned tighter and more stable which hurts the responsiveness. You also still have to use good throttle control with it on or it kills the exit power.

LOOK! I DON'T WANT TO USE TCS. You want a good example of what I can do without TCS? Look at my results at Motegi and Tsukuba! End of subject! Move on! Lets get back to the times (which is what this thread is supposed to be about!)
