This might seem like a silly question to you guys who have raced in the series before but I am unsure about car selection. We tend to have a set amount of the same types of cars available to add variety. In this series do we just pick a car and send it to you and that's it, no matter how many other people are racing in the same car we just get to race what we want from the start?

1 or 100 could race any one particular car. The idea is to maximize the performance of the car--regardless of the one chosen. In order to determine that car, you might need to build/test each to determine which might be best for you, your driving style/skill, and the tracks chosen.

But, before the car is sent to be inspected, one needs to be chosen, built, and painted. Then, when you're happy with the car, submit to the inspection team for review and documentation.

A few questions...

-Where do I get a race number? I did look and couldnt find anything.
-The Honda Fit has the big J's racing rear spoiler, is that allowed?
-It looks like the PI limit wont let you max out the HP and Weight limit. Im about 50 lbs over, and 8 HP under. Was it meant that way? Or are some of you getting to the number limits?

Mr. Weston, everything you need to know is in the Rules and Regulations thread (including car numbers). Cars and car specs can be found here.

The rules have been designed as they were before to where the PI, horsepower, and weight cannot be maximized at the same time.

Do I need to have the car painted when submitting it to you? I have the build done and ready. Also, where do you want me to snag the vinyls from?

Worm, yes, the car needs to be in "race ready" condition, i.e. livery complete with number boards prior to submission for inspection. Once it is inspected, a sticker is applied by the inspector. The paint and build cannot be changed afterwards. I will send the number board and EZT url when I get home from work.

I got a car to 200bhp and 2409lbs or something. It was sitting at around PI394 or something as well.

My best is PI 400 (could be 401) 200 HP, 2400 lbs.

Question though, are you allowed to use the Forza rear spoiler? I know it says no Forza bumpers but I thought I'd ask.

No Forza aero Diablo, front or rear. You can use the other body add on's though

Be sure you check to see your car with 200 horsepower that it will fit in a lobby. Lobby settings are found here.

Strongly recomend doing this if you are at 200 hp, I have had to change the build of my car 5 min before qualifying on the first race in previous stockhatch series due to the fact that i couldnt choose my car cause the horsepower read like .xxx over the cap.

Do that as well as make sure your car will fit the weight requirement as well. your car could be at 2400.7 and register at 2401 and it may not show up.

Can a team only have 2 drivers?

TEAMS

You do not need to be in a team to participate, but teams are supported. A team consists of 3 drivers, all 3 driving the same car. The team's top 2 driver's points contributing to the team for that race meeting. Teams are frozen when the Sign Up period has closed, or when a driver runs his first race. Team points are based off the regular points scheme, with a permitted dropped result from your final total.

If only the top 2 score, we would be at the disadvantage with only 2, but would still wish to be considered a team of only 2.
