Theres this video just where some poor sod jumps on his bike, starts ragging it down the road only for it to flood right in front of him.

Its a terrible time.

Re: Earthquake Off Coast of Japan
Damn man, this is crazy.
Tsunami heading for Hawaii, should hit in around an hour or so. Many other places could be hit but Hawaii isn't exactly the biggest of places. This is just getting worse and worse.
A sad day.

Fortunately I think all but the remote areas will have had warning and plenty of time to evacuate

Re: Earthquake Off Coast of Japan
Just heard a report where Japanese police have reported that 200 to 300 bodies found where a 13-foot tidal wave came through.
Re: Earthquake Off Coast of Japan
200-300 bodies have been found along the coast. A Nuclear Plants cooling has failed (which is causing much worry) and a chemical plant has exploded in a massive fireball. There was a shot of people driving away from it as it took down farm buildings and actually had fires raging on top of it along with trucks, cars, boats.... oh my god.
My prayers are with them.

Re: Earthquake Off Coast of Japan
Watched the video of the gas plant explode on BBC and it was horrifying. I just had the thought of if I lived there then that would be where I would have been on a regular day. My thoughts go out to them and hope theme
Re: Earthquake Off Coast of Japan
I just can't believe the scale that something like this would cause so much devastation. Just watching earlier on the news the way the tsunami was just washing all the cars and boats as if they was toys.
Such a sad day and I will think of them in my prayers and thoughts.

scroll down and look at the chart comparing energy released from explosions compared to earthquakes.
50 megatons - Largest thermonuclear weapon ever tested...
474 megatons - 2011 Sendai earthquake and tsunami

Re: Earthquake Off Coast of Japan
Just watching CNN and it got live videos as it's 8:30 in the morning over there. People are on the roofs looking for help and the crews can't get there. Looks horrible. My thoughts are with them.

Re: Earthquake Off Coast of Japan
Talked to a co-worker that went to Hawaii for a winter job. He said even the water that got there was crazy. I couldn't imagine being in Japan and glad to say I am here. My best wishes go to the people affected by it.

Re: Earthquake Off Coast of Japan
Reports are that a 6.2 magnitude quake has just occured just off the coast of Tokyo.
Re: Earthquake Off Coast of Japan
This is getting just stupid now. Reports of an explosion at the nuclear plant, and another Tsunami on the way, possibly 10ft high.
