2011 Formula 1 Qantas Australian Grand Prix - Albert Park - 25-27 March

F1 is back! After the cancelled Bahrain Grand Prix, Formula 1 descends on its more traditional opening venue of recent times as the circus arrives at what the locals call ''a great place for a race'', Albert Park, Melbourne, located in the South-Eastern state of Victoria on the coast of the Port Phillip Bay.

The circuit itself is located within a public park on public roads and is one of the seasons 'street circuits', despite having large run-off areas and grass. The Circuit measures at 5.303km and Michael Schumacher holds the lap record of 1.24.125, which was recorded in 2004, at the height of the Michelin/Bridgestone tyre war.

The race itself is 58 laps long, covering a distance of just over the traditional 300km mark for Grands Prix.
