Round 8: Canadian Grand Prix 2011 - Montreal

It's the annual trip across the pond to Montreal for the Canadian GP. An awesome circuit with impeccible racing pedigree. Always seems to throw up good races and different podiums.

The GPWC will take place as always at 8PM on Sunday. With the Summer GT kicking off now is the time get BIG points!!!

(As an administrative aside, I will be marshalling Britcar at Thruxton on Sunday and most likely will not be back until late on Sunday evening. I would appreciate any assistance in running the race in my probable absence.)

Probably going to be out. I'll be too tired to race because of Le Mans.

I will be there, Rob will be at Le Mans!

Seeing as there will be many fatigued from the 24 Hours (coming to think of it, will ANYONE be doing the 24 hours on xbox live at the same time as the real deal? or have I got that wrong).

Anyone looking for a one-off stand in? Or will I have to register as an Independant?

im a myabe i dont have a team so i could be a stand in as well

8PM Sunday it is, and the only assists your not allowed is ABS. Anything else is fine. And I must say, we are all great drivers! Good fun for the night!

Edit: Just realised. I'll answer my own question. I'll be hosting, if someone wants to stand in for Rob this weekend, I'll be appreciative!

Will tonight's race be delayed due to the fact the actual race has been delayed as well or are we still going ahead for 8pm? And what weather setting will we be running? Because heavy rain on f1 is almost impossible to drive on.

I'm not sure about any delays. I doubt it but don't quote me on that. It will be heavy rain yes.

Also, if anyone is racing tonight, let me know. I will send invites a maximum of 3 times, if you haven't responded, we will start at 8

Last 2 minute call!

Holy F***ING [Censored] !! Out of fuel.. that´s a first-timer for me ! Quite happy with my race though.. Started 4th and gained 3rd place but got bumped off at the hairpin down to 6th.. 29 sec. after Keyzer at that point. Starting to keep the pace and manage to get up to 2nd and at the last lap I had managed to narrow the gap down to 5 seconds to Keyzer.. halfway through the last lap the car starting jumping ´cause of low fuel ! Manage to roll over the finish-line at 4th place but due to Micko´s penalty I did get the 3rd place with a gap of 0.2 seconds between me and Micko !! ;P Really, really breathtaking !!

Good race guys! I couldn't help going into you at the hair pin rickard I was bumped from behind as well from somebody, aqua planed and had no control over the car and unfortunately went into you. Unlucky with the lack of fuel man!

It´s okey, mate ! I know it´s hard with hairpins in the rain.. really easy to bump or be bumped ! I almost crashed on the formation lap because I didn´t see the car in front of me !

Thanks once again for hosting and sounds like you had a good race.
Was really suprised to see the race still on tv when I got home last night.
Britcar at Thruxton was eventually called off after four safety cars and torrential rain and roughly an hours racing. So anyone who felt the conditions weren't bad enough for racing in Canada, I can vouch they really were!
