That Ferrari wheel looks really good. I could put up with the lack of FFB with that cool Manetino dial and the solid metal shifters.

It'l be better than the Microsoft wheel, which is falling apart after a good two and a bit years of abuse now.

Logitech made a non-FFB wheel for the 360 for around the same price, and it had fantastic build quality.

Thrustmaster have upped the game recently with the T500RS, and their F430 wheel was very good too.

EA is either indirectly, or directly trying to taint the market so they can promote Shift 3 to have Porsche's and the only game to have them. a low down dirty trick if ya ask me.

Apparently they released a new screenshot today of 'The Run' the the new 911 in it. MS has the Ferrari licence and for Shift 1 they gave EA the licence for nothing so they could create DLC for it. There is no Ferraris in Shift 2, so that makes me think MS has held onto it and EA has decided to hold onto the Porsche one.

Wow, not having the 911 kind of makes the whole ALMS tie up a joke considering that its the most iconic racecar ever.

I wish Porsche would look at Shift 2 and see how bad it was and just take their license back.

Alot of people over at Forzacentral are rather angry about this and are discussing posting to EA people, gaming media, car media and so on. Not that I would condone spamming anyone I am VERY disappointed EA has taken such a cynical position. Porsche should realise their cars will never be used in 'proper' simulations driven by real racing and car fans. Only by pathetic chavs who like Noz and impossibly vivid colours.

Now I know the answer, I personally am not that disappointed, but I know proper Porsche fans will be.

IMO, most Porsches look the same. It'll be easy to an extent to paint a RUF to look roughly like a GT2 Porsche.

The only major loss will come from cars like the 911 GT1, the Porsche LMP2, Cayman, Cayenne (OH NOES!!) and Boxster. In terms of what could have been, the 917 etc, thats another matter and it a shame in that respect, but I won't cry over 1 car. For me, it just makes me think, if that amount of cars have been scrapped and replaced by 3 RUF cars, even more spaces for new cars.

For me, in FM4, RUF will read Porsche. Something like the Porsche RGT8 in the TORA GT Series. Wink

How the heck did I miss the fact that the LCE comes with a BMW Art Car pack? Me = happy bunny (even though the lack of Porsche race cars from the "Official Game of the ALMS" really annoys/perplexes me! How can an official game have things missing?).

Porsche not in FM4? Ah well, that saves confusion when people say "Nice 911!" "Actually its a Boxster" "No! Its a Carrera!" I don't really like Porsches cos they all look the same! Would have been nice to see the 918 Hybrid in it though!

Heres the thing, its a computer game to us but some of us take it seriously.

To EA, its business, and because some of us take it seriously they wont buy Forza 4. Petty.

On the other side people will be hating EA for it, and won't buy Need for Speed, but they will continue to buy other EA games. Fifa, other sports, Battlefield, etc...

I'm just taking it as it comes. As a computer game its not a huge loss as we can make adaptations toward RUF, and its a game. After all this has blown over people wont mind so much. Forza will still be an amazing experience and game. Huge improvements to pretty much every side of the game.

Did I mention its a game?

On the Porsche matter, I have two feelings on this:

1 - I don't care. I am not a Porsche fan, don't like driving them, and don't like the styling. I am not going to miss them.
2 - The game WILL feel like something is missing. Forza 4 won't feel quite so comprehensive.

I am going to trade Shift 2 in though. Not even put it on since the first round of the TORA GT1 series.

But, the SUZUKI LIANA has been announced!!!! And I own one in real-life (Terrible car, but the missus loves it. I'll stick with the Civic). That ONE car makes up for all the missing Porsches!
