TASCAR - Round 7 - Motegi SuperSpeedway - 24th September

With the TASCAR 2011 season winding down, the points battle is getting intense. The final two races are back on Ovals. First up is Motegi SuperSpeedway. September 24th, 2011. 9pm BST (4pm EST)



Qualifying:

Same as last week, Qualifying will start 1/2 hour ahead of the actual race Meeting. Be ready to accept Qually invites at 8:30pm BST (3:30pm EST). Similar to the other Oval races, Qualifying will be one-car @ a time. Lobby set to 4 laps. On 4th lap, line up as if entering Pit Lane. Times will be gathered once everyone has finished.

Race:

Race will be 2-40 lap segments. Cosmetic Damge, and 1 mandatory Pit ser segment. Lap 1 is the pace lap. I will set the lobby up in a 'Heat' style (like the point-to-point races in Carrer mode where each race is ran 3 times against different A.I.). So, at the End of the First Segment, once everyone's finished, it will immediately go into Segment 2. and we will use the 1st lap of Segment 2 to get the positions from the first segment correct (Pace lap speed - single file restart).

Cautions:

One or More Cars involved. Pace Speed is 70 mph. To avoid contact during the Safety Car/Caution period, please leave at least 50 ft distance between the car in front and behind you.. Under Caution, Pitting is allowed, and counted as your mandatory Pit, But you will line up behind those that havent pitted under yellow. In the event of having to go into "Green-White-Checkered" rules, the following lobby will also be in 'Heat' style, set to 3 laps each (3 'heats'/chances).

Epic Battle in the 2nd half of the race between myself, DAN, and PAWL3Y for the top spot. i've saved the replays so if anyone wants to make a video (im junk at making videos) i can send them! Congrats to Dan for winning your 4th race of the season, and padding your lead. now 16 points going into the Final round! And an even tighter battle for 3rd in points with Chad and rauridh (sorry mate if i spell your name wrong. pronunciation and writing it out are two different things), only 8 points between them.

As the Points stand, Dan, you just need to Start the race next week to Clinch (i was in the same boat last season )

Well that sort of depends on how many entries we get in the next race whether I could clinch it or not.

I'm not exactly ecstatic because I was lucky to win that race to be honest. I think you deserved it more Mark just on the raw pace you had around the track. I was struggling to keep up with you. I had to rely on the slipstream to actually stay on your gearbox.
Was really good fun with yourself and Pawley once I figured out how to attack turns 3 and 4.

it truely was fun Dan. and i crunched the numbers Dan, and even if we manage to get a full 8-player lobby for the finale, i would still wind up 1 point shy, as the winner gets 50 pts, and 8th would get 35.

Didnt do badly last night! Ill be honest, I didnt know why people were going that much quicker than me. But hey, there you are.
