i would like the rules of the re start to be thought over please

Race 1 had a poor start but went pretty well great racing with OZ a few more taps on your rear bumper Im sure it would have come off lol.
Race 2 once again bad start away from the line and right to the back of the grid, spartan and I swapped places a few times but in the end he stayed ahead.
Race 3 finally pulled away good from the line but ran wide on turn one went on the curb with cold tyres and span round and back on the track causing a crash. from then on it was back of the pack for me. Also had my first ever roll on Forza 4 and must be the first roll in a tora championship on Forza 4 also, wheres my prize lol.
Video coming

Perhaps an explanation of what you think was wrong? Just saying something was reckless isn't exactly defining what your issue is.

Chad does have a point, the restart rules really do need to be properly clarified to avoid people getting all angry with each other.

I think what he's trying to say Scot is that everyone in the field doesn't leave enough room during the safetly car and restart periods. Also, you have guys at the back of the field just hanging back more than necessary so when before the person heading the field even shouts go, they try to jump the re-starts by accelerating a lot earlier. As a consequence of these actions, it inevitable that accidents are going to happen, even before you reach the first corner after the restart.
And corner cutting is an issue as well.
We've had this issue during testing for different series as well as other series ran on Forza 3 and it's pissing annoying. It outlines the fact that safety car periods and restart rules need to be implied/altered, so it doesn't cause a lot of grief and arguements in the future.

Re: TORA MSA Abarth Trophy Rounds 4, 5 & 6 Hockenheim Short - 25th October 2011 - 8pm
Nicky, wind your neck in.
If someone raises a enquiry, we will investigate it, and nothing more has happened at this stage other than an enquiry being requested.
What I will say is that whether other people did or did not make the same moves is not in question. It's whether they were consistantly used to gain an advantage.
As for the restart, I've watched it, and I'm puzzled by Chaddy's issue with it. He accelerates early, but can't pass until the line as per the safety car restart rules, so despite actually getting ahead of the car in front before the line, he brakes to stay behind. The cars behind have timed their runs much better and pass Chaddy on either side, who has lost pace trying to check his own speed.
That's my interpretation of it, and I'm puzzled as to where the issue is. I asked for Chaddy's so I can understand what he feels is wrong.

Dan, I'm not sure if you've seen the restart or not, but I'd suggest watching restarts in real motorsport, as there similar things happen and they don't get the benefit of someone shouting go.

Re: TORA MSA Abarth Trophy Rounds 4, 5 & 6 Hockenheim Short - 25th October 2011 - 8pm
just watched the investigation video, if you're going to penalise Chad for "corner cutting" then you have to make damn sure that you're consistant with the rest of the field, several times during the video i saw drivers "cutting the corner", so if you're going to penalise Chad make sure you penalise every other driver who also cut because by the look of it there was a lot of it taking place!
For future references would it be a good idea to post a video of each track explaining how much curb/run off is allowed to be used so that drivers have a clear outline of what the limits are? Just an idea

Should we be enforcing a ''two-wheel-rule'' for next year if this is the case?

Re: TORA MSA Abarth Trophy Rounds 4, 5 & 6 Hockenheim Short - 25th October 2011 - 8pm
To enlighten you all that weren't there, Chaddy asked BEFORE qualy how much of the run off was allowed to be used.
The answer was none, although we understood that sometimes it was unavoidable. He was told that while we didn't mind two wheels being over the line, going over the run-off consistently and to gain an advantage was unacceptable.
BEFORE the qualifying. With 12 other witnesses in the lobby. In answer to Chaddy's own question.
As it was we didn't use the clean qualy laps rule here because it is a very difficult track to keep it clean on, even though Ian managed a clean pole time.

Thats fine Scot. But we are not real racers. We are the fans of motorsport who have fun racing around on the virtual race track. Well, I say fun......sometimes. lol
We don't have the same skill levels or reactions of real racing drivers. Plus, we don't have full use of the mirrors etc like in real life to see where everyone is. The only way we can tell where everyone is around you is by communication. So you can't really compare the two mate.

SIMON LIFTED BEFORE THE LINE!!!!!!!!!!! I had be check up which saw AERO and CHUCKY get into us which almost caused a huge crash.
TORA is very very poor at its Stewarding and that video is all againest me and yes its not the best driving but for god shake i wasnt the only 1 and how many times the 'cutting! actully put me off at the next turn. OH AND ITS TOURING CAR RACING IT AINT YOUR GOING TO TOUCH!
Ya know what after THAT video i might pack my bags and leave. Ive been here over 3 years, shared moments like my son being born with you guys, tryed EVERY SINGLE TIME to get a postion when one opens to get into the staff. Ive put many many many ideas forward to TORA some of which have been onboard but i dont seem to get alot of credit at times.
Ive got a kid, another on the way, i devote my time away from work and family to give TORA another racer and thats how im paid with a video like that??? Like i said before its not great driving but its almost bullying like eh?

Re: TORA MSA Abarth Trophy Rounds 4, 5 & 6 Hockenheim Short - 25th October 2011 - 8pm
If someone were to go off the circuit once or twice, it can go for a warning. I made the video as Chaddys driving last night was appalling, the whole way through race 3. I felt Chaddy was taking the mickey the amount of times he over shot the circuit, when he seemingly used the run off area in turn 1 to get a jump on alot of people, he tried overtaking me on the grass at the start finish straight.
I want the stewards to look into it as I am fully disatisfied with his driving with his driving tonight. I am not a steward, so I have no say in what happens. I don't even know if my application will be accepted.
I do find that you going through this and making it public a bit disrespectful. A stewards enquiry works by someone making a point and/or complaint, the stewards either accepting or turning away said application, and if in favour they ask the other party their version of events before making a decision.
Ask Dan, thats what happened to him in the TCC.

Actually, yes I can.
Isn't that the point of TORA? What we've being working towards? Emulating real motorsport situations and applying them in an accesible environment.
Yes.
I drive without a mike. I raced three races tonight without contact other than when I spun in front of Spartan and came back on the track OUT OF CONTROL in front of him. I made clean passes and conceded space when I was beaten. Without a mike, without communications. I used my mirrors, and my right analogue stick. Simples.
