Hmm, the first two races were very good fun (and clean).

Race 3 was well, abit of a mess. 2 cars were involved but only one was impeded by the crash (nicky kept his place and continued with no problems).

I was an issue when no-one could hear what either Simon or myself where saying, only one car was impeded so there according to TORA rules there was no saftey car ( as was trying to be explained by simon at the time ) unfortunately with to many talking at once there was alot of confusion.

I say we are best to open it to a vote to re-run the event next week as i understand some people feel they have lost out and I understand others will feel differently

(and as some people though this wasn't done so I could beat Gundam, altho I was making my way up the field quickly )

Aside from the mess this was a great night and good to see soo many people attending

Yeah, but Nick, you weren't there. It was really hard to hear anything as Chad and a couple others were calling Safety Car out over anything else and by the time anyone said anything it was too late.

People know the rules of how many cars there have to be in an incident for there to be a safety car and know that only the lobby captain can call the safety car, so maybe there need to be stricter rules on what people are allowed to say whilst a race is in progress so that confusions like this don't happen again!

Can I make a suggestion? Because I haven't raced in the series, I can give an independant view on the situation. So is someone willing to gift me the replay of race 3? Then I can give you guys a valid evaluation as to whether the safetly car was needed or not.

Also, it's not always right for the steward to call the safety car. For example, if he/she is no where near the accident or crash when it occurs, it's hard then for the race steward to call on the situation. Thats why they need good and clear information from the fellow competitors on the track. However, that wasn't possible tonight by the sounds of things.
To me, a safety car is required if two or more cars are involved in a collison, or if a car is placed in a dangerous part of the circuit. For example, if there is a car in the middle of the track etc.

Ban mics during races, dont need to say on your left or on your right, thats what your mirrors are for, if a crash happens and a safety car is required then the affected people can say "safety car request" then the lobby host can say "we are now running under safety car please slow down to 60mph"

Ok, I'll be locking this thread now as the situation is either the drivers in the race would like the race to be restarted or they don't.
