Tuesday Night Community Voting Empty Tuesday Night Community Voting

Post by Richy59 Sun 30 Oct 2011 - 22:42

Well, as promised we will be letting you guys decide what the next series is for the Tusday nights after the Abarths.

I am asking that you guys throw some ideas out there for the next few days and then from there I will make a vote as to which series is next.

Please bear in mind that Tuesday nights are Spec series, so as long as the cars match each other anything is fine. You could have a Clio Cup, BMW E30 Cup or a Hummer Cup. Depending on the series we could have a 2-3 make championship as long as the cars are very similar.

Here's hoping we see some interesting and different ideas.

UPDATE

Ok, voting is now open for the most interesting Spec racing suggestions. Remember, all these car will be built to the same spec so it's going to be all about driving ability.

Thursday Nights will host races that cover various real world and multi-make series, so expect to see the V8, Classic Touring Cars or GTs show up on that vote.

Voting ends Wednesday the 9th, the day after the Abarths end.

Enjoy Smile

UPDATE

Voting closed. MX-5 Cup is it. Details to follow soon.

Thanks for voting!

Similar to Canadian Touring Car championship, but with a few alterations to "level the playing field":

Group 1: 300 HP, Front Wheel Drive only
Group 2: 300 Hp, Front Engine'd Rear wheel Drive + a 10% Power Handicap
Group 3: 250 HP, Front Engine'd All wheel drive.

Just an Idea, if I can't take part then obviously my suggestion can be voided, clearly my connection issues still prevent me from taking any serious part in TORA until I can get someone in to do some re-wiring.

I have a list of 30 odd cars from between 1960-1980 that would make one KILLER historic touring car championship...

Put 'em up to B class and have a good mix of tracks (long/short, straight/twisty) so that the American cars can be challenged by the little Euro challengers.

We all have these cars hanging around in our garages, unused, unloved, so why not use them? There are a ton more muscle type cars in FM4 than FM3, and some gorgeous ones too, lets do something like the Aussie Touring Car Masters, cars from the 70's, but with full modern roll-cages and slicks.

There's no such thing as 'simulation' handling, all the 'simulation' option does is remove the damping for pad users, and all that does is ruin your front tyres as you are going lock to lock with each flick of the stick.

Whether this is a sensible and valid suggestion, but how about a series where no rules are applied and where fun is the name of the game?
Banger Racing! Just paint up some really cheap and crummy cars and compete for a laugh.
