Mid season switch bonus!

After the next race at Indy, there will be mid-season bonus points up for grabs for everyone! Sign-ups for this will open at 10pm GMT after the race.

The concept is this- if you switched to a car on the carlist that hasn't raced in the first three races, and hasn't been chosen by another team during the switchover, each privateer or team member who races that car gain an extra 25points!

So people may feel they'll score more keeping the car they're in already, but wanna free gift, switchover!

That's a good point. You've signed up with the DBS already. Similar to some others who've signed up in other cars which haven't raced yet. With all these cases, if you post "in" in the relevant thread and race these cars then the 25 points goes to you. So I think there's also an Audi R8 team yet to race.

So many cars I wanted to drive before the season, so this is very welcome. Don't care to much which car I end up in (do have some personal favorites), as long as it is different like my lovely Camaro.

Points will be given after Indy or before Indy? And if we are changing cars, do we need to run that car at Indy or after Indy?

Not sure if I will have MKR as a whole change cars for the final two races, but will make a decision after work to have time to work on a Suzuka tune for my current 458 and a car I've used in the past for 'TORA GT' races. Found yesterday morning this other car had a bit better grip, but down on straightaway speed (roughly 4mph on the IndyGP front straight), which, in my opinion, isn't too much of an issue @ suzuka and Sillystone

Do both members of a team have to switch, or can only 1 driver switch?

All members of said team would have to switch, but all members each get the points. The points don't affect team championship points.
