Ok, how do you guys record gameplay? I've been looking into some stuff myself but I'm not sure what to get. The best things on the net seem to be £100+ which is really not what I want to be spending...

Personally, I've got my eye on Roxio which, unless my eyes deceive me, the price is slowly increasing week by week.

I read some reviews and seems a little mixed.

Also there's the Dazzle (and it's endless varieties) which has been around for some time, but I don't think the quality is as good as the Roxio.

What do you think? If you record gameplay, what do you use?

Ok chaps, hardware options are. You really need to consider HD game capture for the Xbox and other devices.

Two I recommend are:

AverMedia Game Capture HD. This is stand alone HD capture that doesn't require a computer for the capturing. It can capture to a USB stick. USB drive or even a HDD which you can install. This is what I use now.

The second device I have preordered and ships in march is the BlitzBox 1080 HD. This also captures in HD but requires a computer for the capturing. This also can stream in HD over the web while playing and capturing.

Both these devices enable you to play in HD whilst capturing in HD.

Software: I use Avid Pinnacle Studio 15 Ultimate. I know Simon Biggs uses Power Director. Both do a good editing job.

If a pc isn't required for the AverMedia Game Capture HD, then that would be a bonus. I might purchase that one of the days.

No pc required to capture vids so its cool in the fact you can have it anywhere, even take it with you. Still, some way of editing is still required!
