Thanks! 400k for a smoke pit, better be bullet/shell proof! We were closed out to e6 for a long time, then it just openned up recently. As long as you love what you do, the advancement will come! Stay safe in the sand!

Hey Gashi i was an AM with VFA-37 from 97 to 01. loved that job working on the 18s was very cool. Even got a cat shot in a e-2.

by the way guys, my dad was an AM back in the late 80s w/ the VF-101s working on the F-14s

so have you guys tried using a different system to picking cars for a season other than first come first serve? like how about a system, for instance the top 3 teams get go as so, 1st place teams gets 1st pick and so forth. and the fourth pick could either go to the fourth place team or a new team just joining in? Same could work with individual drivers/privateers.

Also another version would the keeping with top 3 to go first, and then inverting the rest of the entrants/previous teams to pick their cars. or you could just invert 2nd - last with last picking first. was thinking these ideas might add in a lil fight to the championship...

Do the team signs-ups without car choice, and then the top 5 teams from last season get to pick their cars individually, and in reverse order (so the fifth team pick first) and then the is opened to everyone else. Rule though is that those top 5 teams have to choose different cars.

Thing is though, whichever way you do it, unless these things are completely on the shoulders of the community, people start getting accused of being bias, or cheating etc.

I would use the above system in a heartbeat, but doubt I'd be able to do it without someone feeling hard done by, that why we do first come first served.

I only read the first bit but it's basically like the AFL draft, if u finished last last season, or are a new driver, you get first pick over first who gets last pick

Yeah just keep it as first come first serve, it's the fairest way to do it on a level playing field.
