The Toyota GT86 sports car will compete at the 2012 Britcar 24 hours ... An announcement on who’ll drive the Britcar Toyota GT86 will be announced in the coming weeks. The car's livery will echo the one used on its AE86 forebear, which competed in the BTCC in the 1980s. It will join a packed grid – which topped 55 cars in 2011 – on the weekend of September 22 and 23 2012. The 24-hour race takes place on Silverstone’s GP circuit.

Can you please be a littlebit more precise?

I have to make plans with the family of changing it a week and from 12 to 24hrs....
I just want to know if the starting time is the same like Le Mans or.....?
And if you cant answer that can you please tell me a date that you guys can?

I believe it will be either a 2pm or 3pm start UK time, meaning a 1 or 2pm start in Holland(?)

This much I know, even in a full lobby, Nordschleffe is too long a track to stay awake for long stints. That being said, I am quite looking forward to Britcar.

The date is still to be confirmed so I would like everyone to keep both weekends free. We will hopefully be able to announce more details next weekend.

However, even if we don't change the current date and it stays on the 15th/16th does everyone prefer a 24 Hour race over a 12 Hour race?

I'm fine either way. 12 or 24.

it's 24 or nothing, in my opinion....

IMO 12 hours , just incase things go wrong if I said 24 hours before then it was only out of sheer blind optimism
