the Nissan of Doooooooooooooooooom and its gone again. I was saying that the sand would cause problems, and it DID with me. Lost 4 places on the 15th lap. Not good at all. But had the best race I've had. Thanks Hains, Richy and Kilroy. Cheers to all in the lobby and Aero hosting.

Have to appologise to all the drivers I crashed into tonight with my really heavy lag! It was really impossible to jusge distances from other cars as they were all over the place, sorry I only realised it was my connection by the last few laps when a number of the drivers clearly uttered there fustrations, I will withdraw from the rest of the Season as I doubt my poor connection from South Africa will improve!

Be warned drivers, BTCC-esque driving will not be tolerated here , and in line with MSA guidance, abuse of the track limits will meet with a call to race control (or in our world, a Stewards Inquiry)
Think you maybe busy after tonight, as if you was not already with the GTs
Welcome back to the season

What's the "Gaining an Unfair Advantage" investigation for? Just curious for future reference - something to do with the Safety Car call..?
Re: TORA TCC Meeting 10 -- Rounds 19 & 20 - Hockenheimring Short - 10th July 2012
Apologies to NoGoldie. Punted him off on the penultimate lap due to my batteries going strangely. Checked after the race & I had 3/4 battery left in my controller. Peculiar incidents tonight involving controllers/wheels

Yeah the lobby was full of them. My wheel felt funny early in the night especially during qualifying then in the race I knocked a second off my lap times consistently. very very strange.

Re: TORA TCC Meeting 10 -- Rounds 19 & 20 - Hockenheimring Short - 10th July 2012
Hi Matt,
Gaining advantage will often relate to exceeding track limits or unfair passing etc. Gaining advantage can be gaining a time and/or place advantage.
This particular incident will become clearer when a decision has been made and the parties involved have had the opportunity to put their side forward.
Hope that clarifies.
Thanks

Really not being rude, angry or in any way intentionally irritating here but I've got to make the point.
During qualifying if you make a mistake on any lap and come off the track could we all please make sure we do not rejoin the track in front of a car on a flying lap!
Simple racing étiquette troops.
Cheers,

Think this may have been me. Sorry I dont normally do that and it was a mistake I am still learning on the wheel and my god its horrid round here.
No problem at all mate -
I had a couple of good races tonight which is what its all about
Re: TORA TCC Meeting 10 -- Rounds 19 & 20 - Hockenheimring Short - 10th July 2012
Fantastic first race but not so good second. The second corner I was bashed about so eased off to allow room and was bashed more, went to last and got back to 4th even with a safety car period

Thats about all its got going for it, straightline speed lol. And then corners like a turd going around the u-bend.Dav of Krypton wrote:BG Hainesy wrote:Really enjoyed both races tonight, had some great no contact battles with Alex, Dav (sorry about our straight line speed lol), Kilroy and Richy.

Re: TORA TCC Meeting 10 -- Rounds 19 & 20 - Hockenheimring Short - 10th July 2012
If the track limits rule is enforced fairly and equally to all parties who repeatedly went off, then I have a feeling that mattmeir will indeed win his first TCC lobby, as he was about the ONLY one who I did not see do so.
When I saw this particular circuit on the schedule, I had a bad feeling that this sort of thing would come up. There is something about Hockenheim in general that seems to breed corner cutting as well as a bit too much contact for my tastes. Am I correct in thinking that the current Hockenheim layout is all Tilke's fault?

Re: TORA TCC Meeting 10 -- Rounds 19 & 20 - Hockenheimring Short - 10th July 2012
Bit of an odd night. Was very happy with my Qualifying time, got me (last) in B lobby, with some guys who i know are all quicker than me.
Race 1 went pretty well, thanks to others issues with sand and wheels I managed to gain a couple of places, then had to spend the rest of the race driving as hard as I could to keep the places
Luckily, most of my team are all faster than me, so I tend to be fairly safe in close racing, especially when I'm having to be very defensive!
Lost 2 of the place back, was honestly never going to keep CQR Basher behind my for 10 laps, though I did my best, and a slight error left enough space on the last lap for Dav to get back through.
Race 2 on the other hand, was a nightmare. Put into a wall on lap one, the damage made sure I was lapped, finishing dead last (well, apart from two who disconnected) In the end I was so far behind I didnt make the end of race timer

Thats why he was dead last he was the only one to slow at corners while everyone else sped away

there is a big difference between mis-judgement and intentional abuse - i'll openly admit to having cut the 1st corner a couple of times, but i wasn't trying to do it

Re: TORA TCC Meeting 10 -- Rounds 19 & 20 - Hockenheimring Short - 10th July 2012
I have to say that I am glad I raced in the TCC today after all... I learned a heck of a lot about the track, for tonight's NATCC race. Instead of four dirty laps before I got it right in qualifying, I got four clean laps, and was a second quicker. Then come race time, I figured how to gain spots keeping it on the track, as I had a good idea just where others would be heading offtrack.

Good racing again last night chaps - 16 lap bumper to bumper battle with Haburi in race 1 and action-a-plenty in race 2 with, well everyone, really lol Races went too quick, could have done with 30 laps around there
Even Xbox Live behaved itself last night for a change!

I must say I was pleasantly surprised with live last night I only had one little bit of lag in the first round when rocker managed to join. Clean fast (for me) racing both races. I did apologise to mandown in the lobby after first race, as an aggressive move but pretty clean with a slight love tap on the doors on the last lap round the stupid turn sent him off with evasive action. I did offer to exchange points back but everyone was happy.
Thanks to all TORA racers as just from the TCC my driving skill has vastly improved, the table tells my gain. Next stop lobby A *see you there next year* lol.

Fairplay Dav and good racing last night - I watched the replay of our little battle in Race 1, you didn't make it easy and the switchback was really sweet!

I don't mind finishing last as long as I'm taking part... I'm new to the whole online racing scene, and I've only been playing Forza maybe 5 hours a month since I had it at Christmas.
I achieved Level 38 driver status last night after the second race - hopefully that shows to you guys just how inexperienced I am..!
