Round 1 @ Sunset Speedway
Saturday, 21st July 2012
Race will begin @ 9pm BST (4pm EDT/1pm PDT)
Lobby invites will start going out @ 8:30pm BST (3:30pm EDT)
Race Format:
- The total distance (100 laps) will be covered by 2-50 laps 'stints' if you will. there will be ONE Mandatory pit stop per 'stint'.
-Damage: Limited
-Collisions: On
"Be Careful of your equipment"
Caution/Safety Car Speed: 90mph
Safety Car/Caution
In The case of a Safety Car is called, DO NOT brake to get down to Safety Car speed. this could cause chaos. Let off the throttle and let the car slow down on its own. During the Sfaety Car period, Everyone forms up Single-File until everyone has caught up, then the field should reform into 2-by-2 formation for the restart.
- During Safety Car
While under the Safety Car, drivers may pit and use their 'Mandatory' pit for that session/stint. Anyone who may be a lap down can get a lap back (but not those involved in bringing out the Safety Car).
---A Safety Car can be called up to the penultimate lap of the Race, and thusly the final lap will end under caution, and go into "Green-White-Checkered" rules once all competitors are back to the main lobby.
Drivers who have missed Qualifying may still post "IN", and will start at the back of the grid.
