1999 Lotus Elise Cup

For the First season of the Lotus’s it will be a 5 round championship with each round being held on a Wednesday evening. The lobby’s will be opening at 7:45pm UK Time.

The qualifying will start at 8:00pm UK Time, Qualifying lasts 15 minutes, once the 15 minutes is up the lobby host will ask you to pull over so they can write down lap time and positions. Followed by that will be one race lasting 45 minutes (approximately)

Teams:

For the First Season of the Lotus’s there will just be a driver’s championship and no Team championship. You are however allowed to run the same paints if you wish but no more than 2 drivers can do this.

Qualifying:

- Collisions will be off but damage will be on simulation for all qualifying events.

- The lobby will open at 7:45pm prompt and the qualifying will start at 8:00pm, if drivers miss this session then they will have to start from the back of the grid. Drivers are asked to join the lobby or a member of the team will invite you. This will help you and us.

- There will be 15 minutes set on the clock For drivers whom are not on a fast lap you will be asked to pull over on the first corner a safe distance away from the track. This will then allow hosts of the game to take down times for each driver.

- Collisions are off but please use racing etiquette. There’s nothing more annoying than being on a quick lap and someone distracting you by power sliding in front of you. Please be aware of other drivers.

- Pit lane is open throughout quailfying

- Certified times will be counted above un-certified times.

Race Rules:

- There will be a 15 minute break between qualifying and the race where the hosts will sort out drivers etc. The race will be scheduled to start at 8:30pm. (approximately)

- One race per evening lasting as near to 45 minutes as possible.

- There will be one warm-up lap for people to….well, it’s pretty obvious followed by a standing start. Once everybody has got into their positions on the grid the Host of the lobby will announce a start time. The host is asked to announce a time that gives all drivers time to prepare. (at least 10 seconds).

- There will be One mandatory pit-stop in the race. The host will announce a pit window when all drivers are in the lobby.

- Collisions will be on and damage will be on Simulation so please take care in the first couple of corners. Do not try a move that you know will not work, it ruins it for the rest of us.

The circumstances listed below will be the only time we have a restart.

1) A lag spike occurs and wrecks a car or cars
2) If half or more of the lobby is involved in a crash on the first 3 laps

- If you make contact with another driver and given them a disadvantage then you will be asked to give that place back or face penalties.

- Keep talking to minimum levels, No full on loud conversation in the middle of a race. It does distract others

- The lobby host(s) have the final decision on any matter. However, if it is something that cannot be dealt with on scene then after the race the selection of stewards will look at the replay’s to determine who is in the wrong.

Points System:

There will be no class system for the first season; all drivers will be racing in one class.
