Shuffle Cup Series

Hey everyone - those of you who race with me on matchmaking lobbies know that I love the cycled production playlist on FM4, and I wonder if we can bring such delights to TORA.

The reason why I like cycled production is that everyone is in the same machine - and can make for some epic racing. Also, anyone can jump in without having to buy the cars, or worry about tunes, vinyls, etc. Very simple.

This is supposed to be a chilled, fun event. Each week will have a theme (ie Japanese Production Cars 1980s, or silly ones like 'Names beginning with F').

Timing will be 8pm BST (9PM GMT?), and looking to run Saturday 1st September. This will be confirmed soon, hopefully

The format I propose:

3 x Shuffle races
Each car/track combination is decided beforehand randomly, but kept secret from all of the competitors until it is revealed in the lobby with a few minutes notice! (but with consideration, we won't have an F class car on Le Mans, though I bet a 2 lap race would be epic!)
In each race you will know what class to roughly expect, ie Race 1 will be Class B-D, Race 2 Class S-A, Race 3 R1-R3
All stock, no tunes allowed
Collisions during all races will be on, and set with Simulation Damage.
TCS, Driving Line and Normal/Simulation Steering are the only allowed driving aids that may be used.
ABS, STM, Auto-brake and Auto-gears are prohibited.
Manual gears must be used but it is up to the competitor if they wish to use the clutch or not.

The grid for Race 1 will be decided by a three-lap flyer qualifying to the flag (four laps so that the lobby host can collect), Race 2 will be the lobby points, and grid for race 3 will be reverse lobby points. As you can tell, a bit lazy

I don't know about points yet to make it a championship but as there are millions of different combinations, we can go on and on and on. Maybe this can happen once a month? Last weekend of a month?

What do you lot think? I'm planning to run a pilot a Saturday before a race weekend that doesn't clash with TASCAR. Feedback will be appreciated!

Stonewall tried this a while back. When he and I were the only two entries a couple weeks in a row, it went away.

We call that Rent-a-Car, it's great fun!

Id be in depending on the times. been thinking about something like this myself as i love cycled prod also.

I'd give it a go depending on time ran.

I should be able to do this if it is on a Saturday.
