Infineon Lobby A lag issue

Ok, I had to retire my car at the 93mi mark due to some very, very weird lag issues for the WHOLE lobby.

About 20mins into the race, drivers started reporting that drivers disappeared off the minimap and physical sight in game, even though we were all in the lobby and could even talk to eachother.

I was in the lead because ATR Dan had spun himself out prior to the 2nd sequence of pit stops and was able to see BG Lucifer as we were coming out of a corner. I on the other hand, could not and BG then reported that I slammed straight into the back of him, leaving me puzzled. This happened 3 seperate times in about 20mins, causeing him very major damage.

ATR Dan then came to pass me. Again, I could not see him on my screen, but he could and our cars (with the correct lobby settings) appeared to be inside his car and went along as if nothing happened.

A few laps later I was coming up to lap IRT YT RICE and I could see him, but he couldn't see me. I told him where on track I was and he went there but not enough to give me room and I slammed into the wall causing very major damage.

I would have just gone and mustered on with 10mins remaining but I decided to park the car and retire to prevent anymore ghost-lagging-wtf-I-can-see-you-but-you-can't-see-me crashes.

Very weird, and its not like im asking for a do-over because ATR Dan would probably still have beaten me, but the people who are fighting for the championship had serious incidents and we all wish that didn't happen.

I can't explain what the hell happened tonight, but I reckon DTechPR is probably the person who caused the horrible lag this evening. His car was just all over the place, when ever myself or anyone got near him.
At times, some of the lads, including Mopar and Rice, say that they couldn't see my car, as if it was invisible.

This event was one to forget but it's also an important reminder to everyone that they need to sort their routers or internet providers to ensure that we suffer as little lag as possible.
My race got ruined when DTech lagged infront of me, and also when Rice couldn't see my car at all and just tagged the rear of me going into turn 2 with 2 and a half minutes of the race left.

F4h Music Man couldnt see me on his map or on the track...

but I could see everyone and nobody was flying around due to lag.

I didn't get damaged but lost a lot of time in the pits, when I came in for my first pit stop I was a good distance ahead of Carrera. He came in after me and when we left he was ahead of me. I did see one car come floating by up in the air.

im bummed because theorectically, I had I not had that crash with RICE and we all didn't have lag issues, I might have been able to win, at least get 2nd again, no doubt

Yeah, Mopar and ATR Dan were completely invisible to me. No dots on the map or cars present, but the last incident with Dan was freaky. He called the pass, I kept to the left so he could go right, then I see tire smoke and skidmarks with no car, ala Back To The Future. This was the weirdest thing that I've ever seen on xbox!

I wasnt getting lag from everybody it was only the Lambo of Dtech, problem was he was right infront of me for around 15laps or so as i couldnt pass him and pull away (im in GTC he was GTE) so jus had to deal with it lost heaps of time in the lead behind this car jumping crashing flying around. Bit of a race spoiler! Then was tagged out of the lead a couple of laps later by a prototype. This first win is proving hard to get!!

On my screen I couldn't see Dtech, didn't realise until part way through the race!

First, my apologies to all competitors in Lobby A by my lag issue. The internet flow it’s an unpredictable and may fail at any time; Murphy’s Law attacks me this time. Today, my service provider will increase the internet flow to 8mb download and 6mb upload to avoid lag issue. I read ATR Dan arguments and I feel uncomfortable when he states that I’m the problem at all. Dan, in my opinion, if you point this issue to one person, you need the tools required to prove that person caused the whole issue. However, I accept that I was lagging and again my apologies to all. Not a great download speed, but that upload speed, DO WANT!

Iv'e seen the 'phantom car' a couple of times in public loobies. Its just weird, especially when your teammate just smashes a car into the barrier, and when you ask him, its as if the other car isnt even in the lobby, not on the results, in the lobby, anything.

Yes, you need a balance in both way, with this you decrease millisecond of response and avoid lag.

so i recently uped my internet to 20mb download from 10mb download (upload still 1-2 mb) and i've seen more lag than ever. I'm aware the lower the ping the better but i'm unsure if its something i need to call my provider about cuz the speed still fluctuates and sometimes i have buffering or is there something i can do to fix my problem? trying to correct my lag issue as well

Yeah of course you need both, but here in England, unless you have a business connection your download far exceeds your upload, for example, i'm on 10meg down, but only 1meg up, that's just normal here...

Yes, you need to contact your service provider to verify your millisecond or you can do thru your computer and test them and verify the continuity of millisecond.

Well I do the speedtest.net everyday it seems cuz either in getting lag on XBL or I get the buffer wheel in trying to watch a YouTube vid and I'm not getting what I pay for lol

You can try www.pingtest.net for a ping rating.

You can also always type in Command Prompt or Terminal...
Windows: ping 8.8.8.8 -t
Mac: ping 8.8.8.8

This will continuously ping Google's DNS server, and you can see the time in ms as well as how many pass/fail etc.
